Hi friends.
This meditation is designed to help us get in touch with that deepest part of ourselves.
And provide us more peace,
Let go of the things we've been holding on to.
Let's start just by finding.
.
.
Comfortable but alert position.
You can close your eyes if you like.
You can keep your gaze lowered if you prefer.
And start with just a long deep breath in.
And let it go.
Perhaps another one of those long,
Deep inhale in.
And let it go.
And you can continue that deep breathing on your own if you like.
Allowing yourself to settle.
With each breath.
Allowing a stillness to come.
Perhaps you can.
.
.
Feel your body slowing down a little bit.
Letting go of any tension in your shoulders.
Any tension in your jaw.
Letting go of any tension in your temples or your back.
Allow your hands to be loose.
Just feel that sense of peace and calm.
If you feel comfortable,
You can put your hand on your heart.
Hand on your chest.
And with each breath,
Just feel.
The gentle rise and fall of your breathing.
And perhaps notice how just a simple hand on our chest can be soothing.
And imagine.
Or perhaps it's a memory of being soothed by someone.
Who cares for you unconditionally.
Perhaps if you have the memory of when you were a child being hugged or held by a loving parent or grandparent.
A teacher,
Someone who loved you unconditionally.
Get a sense of what it's like to be held in that love now.
If you'd like to visualize you might visualize with each Breath in.
Perhaps your body's becoming lighter.
Physically lighter as if you were breathing in light.
And with each breath out,
Perhaps you're letting go of something you might not be.
If you'd like to visualize.
Imagine.
A darkness leaving your body.
And just like.
A physical breath exchanges.
Oxygen for carbon dioxide.
In this breath,
In your visualization,
In your imagination.
We're trading the light for the dark.
Light for the heavy.
And play with that for three or four breaths.
Just imagining.
With your visualization becoming lighter.
And if it's helpful to name the thing you're letting go of,
Then do so.
You're letting go of fear or anger or anxiety.
What is it that you would like to let go of?
Name it.
And with each breath.
Notice that More and more of that thing is gone.
Replaced by lightness.
Replaced by joy.
Stillness.
And here with our hands on our heart,
Or a hand on your heart.
From that perspective,
That deepest part of you.
Let's do some affirmations.
You can say inwardly or even outwardly.
You can say,
I am strong.
I am kind.
I am joyful.
I have everything I need.
And I am perfect just the way I am.
Now,
Sometimes we get stuck on that last one.
But letting go of the idea.
Of all your wrongs or all your imperfections.
And see yourself in your highest light.
That deepest part of you,
Whatever you want to call it.
Consciousness,
Soul.
Your best self.
And coming from that perspective.
Full of light.
Let's try this one again.
I am perfect just the way I am.
Maybe allow yourself a smile.
Smile that lifts your entire face,
But also lifts your body.
You feel the lightness of this smile.
And then you say your name followed by,
I love you.
So I would say,
Scott,
I love you,
But you try it with your own name.
And continue saying that,
Practicing letting go of any.
.
.
Anything that's getting in the way.
But also allowing yourself to receive it fully.
Your name followed by I love you.
And then say whatever else you'd like to say out of kindness and love to yourself.
What message do you have?
From that deepest part of you.
And just notice.
If you're feeling lighter,
If you're feeling more joyful than when we started.
And then let all that go for a bit.
We'll have just a period of silence just to marinate in that goodness.
Perhaps continuing your smile.
And there's a practice I like to use,
A mantra,
A song that we sing.
It's like a love song.
A love song to the deepest part of us.
A love song to something bigger than we are.
We give it freely and fully.
It's Hugh,
H-U,
We sing it long and drawn out.
And you can come in and out wherever you like.
If you'd like to just sit and listen,
That's fine too,
Or you can sing along with me.
I'm all for it.
Five minutes or so and the key here is love.
So really put yourself into it.
So join me if you'd like.
Thank you.
New York City yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Thank you.
You Thank you.
You.
You You.
LIU YIU.
NAMASTE Yiu.
Mew.
Namo Buddhaya.
You.
You.
And now a period of silence.
Just listen and receive.
May the blessings be.
And when you're ready,
You can gently return.
Letting your eyes open,
Maybe stretch around a little bit.
Thank you for joining.
This Hughes song that we did together.
Can be used anytime for healing.
Any reason,
Anytime you need help,
Need assistance,
Need more love,
Less fear,
Less whatever.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Take care.
We'll see you next time.
