Today's mental fitness tip is based on my personal experience I'd like to draw from.
On this day about 30 years ago,
I was in my second operation and two years in the military,
Wondering if war was going to be par for the course for our world's future.
I experienced a lot in those days,
But chose to put them in the past after leaving the army.
Little did I know that you cannot suppress the past.
The past has lessons for you to learn and will continue to tap you on the shoulder until you recognize and respect those lessons.
Make peace with what you have inside from those lessons.
Accept them for what they are,
Your past,
Not your future,
Not your present.
Lastly,
Be grateful for them and the life you have to apply them in.
Then pass along those lessons.
Through your struggle,
You gain power,
Wisdom,
And responsibility to give it back in return,
For that is the true duty in life and humanity.
