Here is a calming meditation that will be short,

Simple,

And easy to follow.

So you can either lay down on your back or you can come to sit either on a chair,

On the floor,

Or elsewhere.

If you're seated,

Try to keep your back nice and tall.

If you're laying down,

Try to put something under your knees to relax yourself.

And as you come to lay or sit,

Just allow the body to melt down into the earth.

Take a deep breath in and feel your body get long.

Deep breath out and let it go.

And as you breathe in through the nose,

Let that air drop down into your whole body.

And as you breathe out,

Feel the old air begin to slowly lift up and away.

And as you breathe in,

Just notice your shoulders begin to sink back.

Let the heaviness of your arms slowly drift down.

Relax your fingertips and your palms.

Slowly allow the weight and the heaviness of the hips to sink into the earth.

And feel the weight of the legs melt down beneath you so that your body begins to soften.

Now imagine that you're laying on a soft,

Comfortable beach and you feel the warmth of the sand beneath you.

And you feel your body melting into the earth.

And you begin to slowly take a breath in and you smell the air of the sea or the ocean.

And as you exhale,

You let it back out into the earth.

And as you inhale,

You feel the air of the seaside begin to draw into your body.

And on that exhale,

You let it back out towards the earth.

Now allow every inhale to take a smell of the sea.

And every exhale,

You slowly let it back out.

The next time you inhale,

Visualize the sea coming towards you.

And as you exhale,

Watch it retreat back towards that vast space.

And on the inhale,

Watch the sea drift forward and hear the sound of the waves.

And on your exhale,

Watch the waves drift back and out,

Retreating.

And on the inhale,

Watch the waves draw forward towards you.

And as you exhale,

Watch the waves drift far back and descend towards the sea.

Now invite the sound of the waves into your experience.

And gently begin to take a deep breath in and exhale,

Let it out.

Watch the sea retreat back from your vision and take a deep,

Full breath to feel your body.

Exhale let it out.

As you inhale,

Feel that calm move through your whole body.

And as you exhale,

Know that you are capable to achieve that calm within.

Know that you can come back to this space anytime to hear the sound of the sea and to feel that calm within.

Gently begin to wiggle your fingers,

To stretch your legs out,

Or to stretch your body if you're laying on the earth.

Take another deep,

Full breath to your whole body.

And begin to bring your attention back to your surroundings.

I hope you enjoyed this very short,

Easy to follow meditation.

Thank you for joining me.
