Hello friends and welcome to this two-minute mindfulness meditation.
Make your way to a comfortable seated position and begin with the eyes open.
Take note of your surroundings.
What are the things in front of you and around you at this moment?
Be descriptive of them in your own mind.
You might notice the color of the object,
The size,
Perhaps its purpose or everyday use.
Now become aware of the surface you are sitting on.
How does it feel?
How is it supporting your body?
Recognize these attributes without judgment and without trying to change them.
Gently close the eyes or soften the gaze.
Observe the breath as it moves in through and out of your body.
Do not try to change your breath.
Just observe it.
Feel the cool in-breath against your nostrils,
The filling of your lungs,
The expansion of your chest and belly.
Notice the warmth of your exhale against your nostrils.
Now take a deep energizing inhale and sigh it out through the mouth.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes or refocus your gaze.
