Hello my friends and welcome to this quick calming meditation.
Take a moment to thank yourself for allowing this brief time to center and connect with your inner calm.
Find a comfortable seated or lying position and allow your gaze to soften.
If you would like,
Gently close your eyes.
Leave your to-do list behind.
The next few moments belong only to you.
Place one hand over your heart and the other over your belly.
As you breathe,
Focus on the feeling of your belly rising and falling beneath your hand.
For the next few breaths,
Only notice how your breath flows in and out of your body.
Do not try to change anything.
Simply observe the inhale and the exhale.
Now take a deep inhale through the nose,
Filling the belly like a balloon.
Exhale slowly through the mouth.
Once your lungs are completely empty,
Take another deep breath in and out.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
On your next inhale,
Feel the fresh air energizing your body.
Exhale.
Feel the stale energy leaving your body.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
One last deep breath in and exhale really slowly all the air back out.
Now allow your breathing to return to normal.
Start to invite some movement back into your body.
Maybe wiggling your fingers or your toes or gently moving your head from side to side.
When you feel ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
