Hello my friends and welcome to this 5 minute reset meditation.

This is a great meditation to use on your lunch break,

To reset after a stressful interaction or simply to start fresh at any point in your day.

Find a comfortable seated position and gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Take a moment of stillness to let go of the day's events so far.

Take a deep breath in through the nose and release any tension in your body with a slow exhale through the mouth.

Soften the muscles of the face,

Relax your neck and shoulders,

Move your awareness through your torso and into the lower body,

Releasing any tense muscles all the way down your legs to your feet.

Now bring your awareness to your breath.

Observe without changing the patterns of the breath.

Notice the movement of your body with each inhale and each exhale.

Gently,

We will begin to slow the breath,

Breathing for a count of four,

Holding the breath for a count of three and exhaling for a count of five.

Let's begin.

Inhale,

Continue this breathing to your own count.

As you inhale,

Notice the feeling of your breath on your nostrils,

The rise of your chest and your belly.

Feel the fresh burst of oxygen energizing you.

As you exhale,

Notice the sensation of the air exiting your nostrils.

Feel your chest and belly deflate.

Visualize the stale energy leaving your body.

Keep breathing.

Inhale,

Hold,

Exhale,

Five.

Continue this on your own count.

Inhale.

Slowly allow your breathing to return to its natural rhythm.

Notice the feelings of calm and relaxation that have rejuvenated you in this practice.

Take note of how your body feels in this moment.

And whenever you feel ready,

Take a deep breath in and open your eyes as you sigh it out with a smile.

Namaste.
