Welcome to this meditation.
You can go ahead and take a seat and get comfortable.
Start to notice how your body feels.
Not as you wish it would feel or how it felt at another time,
But how it feels right now.
Start to move your attention from your head down towards your toes with a sense of curiosity.
Simply notice any sensations you feel,
But without adding on any commentary.
As you move through the body,
Notice if there is a sense of heaviness or lightness.
Next,
Start to pay attention to how you're breathing.
If you're able,
Take a deep breath in through your nose and a long exhale out through your mouth.
Where are you primarily feeling the breath today?
Is it the chest,
The abdomen,
Or the nostrils?
Are your breaths deep or shallow?
Imagine you are breathing for the first time.
What does it feel like?
Next,
Think of one person,
One animal that you love that makes you feel happy and comforted.
Now imagine that this particular person or animal has received something that they have been hoping for.
They're so excited and filled with happiness.
And now imagine that you are celebrating with them that their joy is also yours.
As we come to the end of this meditation,
Take the deepest breath you can.
