Friends,
Welcome back to another journey of authoring hope.
And here we settle.
Into an easeful evening.
And the end of the day beckons.
As always we'll start and close.
With a short meditation.
And a little journaling in the middle so you can gather your pen and paper and have them nearby.
And when you feel ready,
I invite you to close the eyes.
And find place.
Rest.
I often like to place a hand upon my heart or belly to feel the rhythm of the breath.
And invite that sense.
Of settling.
At the close of the day.
To allow our bodies to be supported.
Bye.
Sweet.
Let go of.
Any to-do lists from the day we've journeyed through.
We will set the day aside.
Or begin the journey of doing so.
Breathing easeful.
And when you feel ready to do so.
We will gently open the eyes,
We'll take up our pen and paper.
Without thinking too much about it.
I'll offer three prompts as we go.
Reflect.
And settle from our day.
So our first prompt.
A moment.
That shone for me today.
So it might be a small moment of joy,
A little glimmer.
Might be something you enjoyed or that you remember.
First probe.
Something that shone.
For me today.
I'll give you a quiet minute to write with that prompt.
Our second prompt.
What challenged me today?
And what did it teach me?
What challenged me today?
And what.
Did it teach me?
Quiet minute with that one too.
And our third and final pump.
I'm just going to invite you to note down anything that deserves gratitude.
Or acknowledgement.
Perform.
You cruel wretch.
And settle into sleep.
Deserves gratitude.
Oh.
Acknowledgement.
As always,
It is perfectly fine to be grateful just that we made it through.
That can be enough.
To that last one one more time.
What deserves gratitude or acknowledgement.
Before we rest.
Now,
As always,
If you feel in flow with your writing,
Then don't let me stop you.
You can continue writing as much as you wish.
But if you do feel ready to set down your pen and paper.
Will come.
To a little closing meditation if you are preparing for sleep and you'd like to settle.
Into your bed or into blankets and feel free to get cosy.
We can settle ourselves once more and close the eyes.
Here as we breathe and settle.
Easeful.
In this sense.
Of setting down the day.
Like we might set down a book.
After a chapter's end.
Inviting patience and ease as we release.
Any tensions.
Any tightnesses.
Any busy thoughts.
Or anything we would like to let go of for the close of day.
As we invite compassion for ourselves.
And allow ourselves to let go.
To release.
To forgive.
To embrace sleep.
And rest.
Is an act of hope.
For tomorrow.
And all that tomorrow may hold.
Now if you are drifting into sleep and rest.
But feel free to stay where you are.
If you do have a few things to do this evening before you sleep,
Then I invite you just to take a little movement and a stretch.
You can come to seated.
Just to bring our journey to a close,
We're going to take a gentle inhale and reach tall,
And exhale,
Let the hands fall away.
As I welcome you back.
To your evening.
I hope that you can move through it with a sense of ease.
And restfulness.
And drift.
Into an easeful night.
Thank you so much for joining me here.
On another journey of authoring hope.
