Welcome to this root chakra meditation.
Coming to notice your breath.
Feeling your breath move into your body.
Every cell within you accepting your breath.
Coming to notice your seat,
Your connection to the earth.
Lengthening your body,
Whether you are lying down,
Sitting or standing.
Coming to pay attention to your root chakra.
The base of your spine,
Your tailbone,
Your hips,
Legs,
All the way down to your feet.
You may wish to place your hands upon your thighs or your knees,
Breathing your hips.
The color associated with our root chakra is red.
So imagine this red light at the base of your spine.
Notice if it is moving,
Notice its size,
Notice its brilliance.
And take your next breath,
Your next inhale down into this light.
Moving your breath into your root chakra.
And as this chakra accepts your breath,
This brilliant red light begins to grow.
You may feel a vibration,
Sense a texture,
A taste,
Even a scent as you connect deeper and deeper to your root chakra.
Now feel this brilliant red light begin to grow.
This light begins to fill up your seat,
Your legs,
All the way down to the tips of your toes.
And this light expands beyond your physical being,
Out into the world.
And as you breathe into this light,
It becomes stronger and more vibrant.
And on your next inhale,
Pull this light,
This red light up into your entire body,
Filling your body with strength and courage,
Security,
And this beautiful grounding energy gathered from the earth.
And taking in these words and allowing them to become a part of your root chakra,
Of this brilliant red light that you carry,
I trust myself.
I am safe.
I am courageous.
I am nourished.
I am strong.
I am strong and stable.
I am grounded and connected to the earth.
Tuning into this connection to mother earth,
Feeling nourished by her,
Feeling held,
Supported,
And loved.
Carrying this red light with you today,
Allowing it to emanate into the world as you share your strength.
