Welcome.
During this 20 minute guided meditation,
Our goal is to have the felt sense that we are one with all of creation.
That there is a part of us that is not forgotten.
There is a part of us that has never left source.
So let's come now into a comfortable seated position for our guided meditation.
Like the sand of an hourglass,
Begin to let the cells of your body sink down towards the earth or the chair that's holding you.
Exhale completely to feel your own weightiness.
Inhale to lengthen the spine,
Growing taller.
Exhale and settle the shoulder blades down the back.
Inhale to lengthen,
Feeling alert and ready.
Exhale,
Softening the forehead,
The cheeks,
Allowing the tongue to rest on the palate,
Tip of the tongue just behind the teeth.
Breathing here,
Five slow deep breaths,
Coming into this here and now.
Our focus is on the Sveera of Keter,
The energetic crown that rests just above our head.
It hovers delicately right at the place that was the fontanel of your newborn self when you first burst forth into this particular here and now that was not yet closed.
You will be receiving through that open portal.
If you have access to it,
Call to mind the Kabbalistic Tree of Life.
Send your roots down through the chair into the earth.
Feel that point of contact,
Bottom of the feet or tip of the sitz bones as you're rooting into this here and now,
The part of you that is entirely one with the created world.
Inhaling,
Visualizing.
Yesod,
Netzachon Hod,
Tiferet,
Chesed and Gvura,
Chochmah and Binah.
Send your crown in Keter.
Feel yourself as the ladder that joins heaven and earth.
Feel your breath spiraling,
Swirling up and down your energetic self.
And bring your attention now to your crown.
Leaving the eyes closed,
Gaze upward and know that your crown is one with source.
Life has never left source.
The opening pages of the Hebrew Bible offers us the image of the divine as wind hovering over the surface of the great abyss,
Chaos,
Dazzling darkness,
Birthplace of creation,
Divine wind,
Breathing the world.
And when creation unfolds,
Division after division,
Layer after layer,
Until finally there is earth and there is the desire for consciousness.
That divine wind source creator gathers up the stuff of creation,
Muddy earth,
And breathes divine wind into muddy earth,
Bringing the earthling to life.
Animating soul is divine breath,
Wind of the world,
Breathing us to life.
And we're the creator to gather back up breath,
Cosmic inhale,
With no exhale,
We would cease to be.
We are just now being breathed to life.
Seeing yourself as the kabbalistic tree,
Roots in the earth,
Crown in the heavens,
You as the vessel that joins the two.
Feel yourself in a dance,
Just as we are with physical trees.
Our inhale is their exhale.
Their exhale is our inhale.
So too with divine source,
God's exhale is your inhale.
Your inhale is God's exhale.
Starting now,
Receiving divine breath as animating soul.
Effering up soul back to divine breath.
Nishi ma,
Nishi ma,
Nishi ma.
In the Jewish mystical conception,
The very fact of your existence,
The very fact of your existence is proof that you are just now being breathed to life.
That there is divine wind,
Limitless and self infinity.
Source breathing me now.
Let's direct our attention now to our crown,
Keter,
Just above the head.
Feeling it as located within divine wind,
Visualizing divine wind.
Vach Elohim,
Or perhaps as pure white light.
Seeing it,
Feeling it,
Knowing you are surrounded all around by non-differentiated,
Limitless,
Infinite source,
Where there are no distinctions.
There is no other.
There is no you and I.
There is no time,
No space,
No words.
Only wind.
Only white light.
Every source.
Realizing the animating power of source,
As though you could be sustained entirely by this source.
As though you are like a tree that stretches towards the sun for nourishment and sweetness.
So too are you plugged into source.
So important to be able to come to this place of source in our practice.
So often when we are in the hustle and bustle of our day,
We deeply feel our separateness,
Our sense of lack,
Of wanting,
Of not enough.
It's so important when we give ourselves the gift of meditation,
To know how to climb the rungs of our energetic ladder,
Up out of the mud,
Of the stuffedness,
Of separate,
Of only here and only now.
To climb up and locate our awareness within Keter,
Within the part of us that never left home,
That is forever located in infinity,
In abundance,
In shefa,
In grace.
To know that we can visit this place of the limitless and be recharged.
Just like a tree drinks from the sun,
We can visit this place and drink.
Remember our soul selves.
Remember the parts of us that are divine breath,
Being right now breathed to life.
We can remember that the very fact of our existence is proof that we are being created right now.
That we are just as we are meant to be.
We are just where we are meant to be.
We are just when we are meant to be.
We are here.
We are now.
We are rooted.
And it is splendid.
It is being breathed to life by Source.
It is we are the ladder that joins heaven and earth.
The channel created to receive,
To drink in divine blessing and to send it out through our roots back to earth,
Through our hands in the form of love.
We draw down when we give back.
And we draw down.
And blessing passes through us and fills the world.
Lights up the world.
So breathing here now,
Drawing down Source,
Exhaling out blessing.
Inhaling white light.
Exhaling love.
Exhaling fresh starts another breath.
