Welcome!

If you have got here it's probably because you have some trouble falling asleep.

Don't worry it's okay just get comfy and let's get started.

During the next 15 minutes I will guide you through some breathing techniques and then I will read a story based on my Bali diaries so that you can relax,

Pause and fall asleep in no time.

So here we go.

We are going to start by breathing in deeply and getting comfortable in bed.

Gently exhale and relax your body.

Feel the weight of your own body against the bed,

The softness and warmth of the bed sheets.

Feel your head resting against the pillow.

Inhale and repeat after me.

My body and my mind are now ready for sleep.

Inhale once again deeply.

Take some air in.

Feel how this mantra starts to sink in and how your body and mind start to loosen up.

There is no better way to get relaxed than to do some breath work,

Especially when we make our exhales long and deep.

So let's do that.

Inhale for one,

Two,

Three and exhale through your nose for five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Inhale one,

Two,

Three and exhale through the nose five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

Inhale one,

One last time inhale through the nose one,

Two,

Three and exhale five,

Four,

Very nice.

Now that we managed to get some calmness we will start the visualization part in the form of a story so that you can dive into a five senses experience and we induce relaxation and sleep.

Imagine that you finally made it to Bali and that you are on your third day of the trip.

Today you will be exploring the rice fields and the wildest part of the city of Ubud.

The plan for the day starts in one of the edges of the city and slowly you start leaving behind the noises and busyness of the city life.

As you walk the people and stress begin to fade away.

You are now entering a more pure and raw part of Ubud.

Walking up a steep and narrow path you can feel the smell of incense coming your way bringing you a magic sensation.

You can sense the warm and sweet fragrance in the air.

That's the smell that makes Bali so special.

As you keep walking you can see less houses and shops around and now in front of you there are several small alleys surrounded by the rice fields.

That is how you find the path with nice and big stones on the floor that leads you to a new world.

If you look up on every side of the path you can see palm trees filled with coconuts and further away growing in the distance large fields of rice covering everything you can see.

The green colors are impressive and the branches and canes long and rich.

You follow the path and now you can only see the jungle on each side of the way.

As you stand there you reflect upon the richness and beauty of this place.

You can hear the sound of a water stream going down through the fields feeding the plantations.

If you pay attention you can even hear some ducks playing on the background.

The atmosphere is charged with the incense smell but also the fragrance of wet grass,

The deep jungle and as you breathe in you can tell the air is much cleaner here.

You take a moment just to fill your body up with this new air and the magic of the place.

Further down the path you can see the spa hotel where you will be staying the night so you slowly head towards it as you enjoy the amazing views around you.

As you walk you take a look down and find beautiful patterns and mantras engraved on the big stones that create the path.

Right there there is as well a little offering made with a small tray filled with exotic flowers of gorgeous colors.

Inside of it you can find some rice and a small cookie together with a stick of incense that keeps burning.

The traditions of the Balinese people are so different and quaint but above everything they are beautiful and deeply connected to nature.

With that little present still on your mind you walk towards the hotel while the jungle sounds go along with you.

At your arrival the big wooden door with wonderful and detailed engravings from the Balinese mythology gives you a warm welcome and there you can find again one of those cute offerings to the gods.

You go through it and on your right side you can see a small water fountain with Ganesha statue in the middle.

You take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the place and to enjoy the sounds of the water flowing down the little pond which is filled with orange and red fishes.

At the back of the property you can see a nice and lush garden filled with palms flowers and more statues.

Right at the middle there is the hotel and on the left side you can see a crystal clear swimming pool where you will be able to enjoy breakfast the following day.

So you go ahead and make your way towards the spa where you are going to have a wonderful body treatment.

There on the back of the garden there is a stone bathtub and a massage bed.

So now you prepare yourself to get on the top which has been arranged with colorful fresh flowers.

You make yourself comfortable and stay for a while as you enjoy the amazing garden views.

Now it's time to have that fresh juice you have been given and you feel how it nurtures your body and mind.

It tastes so nice.

As you stay there and the sun sets the sky keeps changing colors.

Being an orange stone scovel it all with only a few fluffy white clouds.

You stare at this lovely side while listening to the sounds of the water and the little animals that live in the fields.

And as time goes by the sky turns into a lovely purple canvas.

It's time now for the massage.

So you lay on the bed and enjoy the relaxing full body massage for an hour and a half there at the very center of paradise.

You can feel how your muscles soften up,

How you become lighter and freer.

You take some air in and close your eyes.

That peaceful moment is exactly what you needed.

So you take your time to enjoy it all.

The sounds,

The views,

The touch.

And once the session is finished while you are still feeling the wonders of the massage on your body you head upstairs to your room and you get ready for the best night of sleep you will ever have.

Now you're in bed comfortable relaxed at ease.

You make yourself warm and cozy in between the bedsheets and you close your eyes.

Then you start breathing in and out slowly and deeply so you can fall asleep.

And little by little you can feel how your body and mind enter into a calmer state and you are now ready to leave this world and become part of the wonderful paradise of Bali.

Good night,

Sleep tight.

Namaste.

You you you
