For this grounding meditation,
You can be seated or standing.
You can have your eyes open or closed.
I'd like you to imagine roots or anchors extending out of the base of the feet into the earth,
Going through all the different layers of the earth and eventually reaching the centre of the earth.
I want you to imagine these roots or anchors branching out horizontally,
A bit like tree roots,
So you become planted and fixed.
Now imagine another root or anchor extending from the base of your spine,
Heading in towards the centre of the earth and then extend that root or anchor to the sides.
So you now have three planted points.
Now at the centre of the earth,
Imagine a ball of energy.
You can choose the colour of this energy.
Imagine those roots and anchors are tapping into that energy and are slowly starting to soak that energy up.
The colour that you've chosen will fill up the roots or anchors and eventually move up into the feet and the base of the spine,
Slowly filling up the whole body with that same energy.
Just sit with that energy floating around your system,
Your body.
And then when you feel like you're full,
Let go of those roots or anchors and step away and enjoy the rest of your day.
