Welcome everyone,
Welcome to another wonderful,
Beautiful,
Mindful meditation.
Thank you for sharing this space with me.
It's a super beautiful space to share.
And I appreciate you being here,
Wherever you are,
For being alive,
For being part of this human experience.
Today we'll be exploring the concept of where attention goes,
Energy flows.
Or wherever we put our attention is what will grow,
Is what will flourish and explode in a beautiful way,
What will bloom.
When we're in the garden and we put attention into the flowers and put our attention into the different plants,
Then those are the plants that really bloom and flourish.
And so when we spend time directing our attention,
This is the beauty of mindfulness and presence,
Is that we can direct our attention somewhere,
Our focus,
Our love,
Our compassion in a specific place and that is what will start to grow.
So today will be an exploration of placing our attention on different parts of our body and restoring our body,
Maintaining the body,
To bring in fluidity into the body and heartfulness and kindness.
So this will be a body centered meditation.
So as we're here,
If you want to either lay down,
Don't fall asleep,
Or you can sit up and roll your shoulders back and tuck the chin,
Can place the hands face up or face down.
We'll have about eight minutes of this meditation.
So settling in for the next eight minutes,
Perhaps taking a moment to make a contract with your mind,
A little agreement to say,
Hey,
I know that you have your worries and doubts and fears that may be present right now.
You may have other things to do lists,
But for the next eight minutes,
We're going to create a safe space,
A quiet space and intentional space to rest and see if you can feel your mind starting to rest.
Using the inhale and exhale the breath as a tool to help guide that resting as if the breath is a vehicle that allows the mind to surf along the waves of the breath.
The inhale brings a connection to the body.
And the exhale brings a releasing of anything residing in the body that doesn't belong.
The inhale brings love and compassion into the body like a river cascading through the mountains.
And the exhale as any toxins to leave the body,
The mind,
Any toxic thoughts,
Feelings leave.
The inhale filters in energy charged with positivity and the exhale releases into the ether.
And as we start to settle into this peaceful space into this safe container within our temple within the body,
As the breath lengthens and our ribs like an accordion expand and contract playing only the most beautiful of harmonies and melodies.
Recognizing our body as the symphony that it is.
This beautiful symphony working in harmony.
Perfectly timed.
Perfectly balanced.
And as we start to bring our awareness to the head,
To the physical superficial layer of the face,
I want us to imagine that we have a little bottle of oil,
Maybe coconut oil or olive oil,
And we can pour it into any place in the face that may have tension.
We can feel the oil streaming down the face running into the neck and the vertebrae,
The back of the head,
The back of the neck,
The spine.
And we can start to feel this oil as it starts spiraling down the spinal cord.
It lubricates every joint,
Every facet joint in between each vertebrae creating a beautiful smooth lubrication.
Enticing the ability to move.
We can feel this bottle of oil oiling either shoulder joint.
Feeling a juiciness in the capsules and the joints as it moves down to the elbow.
Feeling any dryness in the elbow start to vanish as the oil brings life and vivaciousness to each elbow and down to the wrist.
You can feel a warm nourishment of oil in the wrist.
Any rough patches,
Any clicking dissolves.
As we move back up toward the elbow and the shoulders gently oiling,
The vertebrae move down toward the sacrum and we reach our hip joints.
And each hip gets this beautiful dose of oil.
And each hip feels lubricated like a well oiled machine.
And that nourishing lubrication moves down toward the knees as we can start to feel the luscious oil moving into the creaks and crevices and cracks of our knee joints.
Starting to replenish and bring life.
The oil seeps downward and towards the ankles.
Moving every day.
Feeling any dryness completely washed away by this olive oil or lavender oil or almond oil.
Each of the toes gets a bit of oil each joint.
And as we allow this image to dissolve into the background,
We can start to feel the body as a whole.
We can feel the veins in the body,
We can start to feel them in our arms and neck and legs carrying blood throughout the body carrying our life force,
Transporting.
And we can offer a small affirmation to the veins.
Small gratitude,
Thank you for transporting and carrying my blood.
My veins are strong and supportive in my body.
These veins are deeply intelligent.
My blood is strong,
My blood is nourishing.
Notice the blood nourish you.
Where can you feel it?
We'll take a moment to address our heart beating.
The emperor,
The king of our body in Chinese medicine.
My heart is strong.
My heart is alive.
My heart has deep intelligence.
My heart is always communicating.
And if I can listen,
My heart will guide.
Take a moment to address the belly,
This beautiful gut,
Biome in our body,
The second brain.
Encouraging the health of our gut biome,
Sending some love into the belly,
Into this solar system within our stomach.
This universe of bacteria.
Giving gratitude down to our belly and the intelligence of our belly,
Always communicating.
Knowing that if we take a moment to listen as we start to eat,
As we're eating,
As we finish eating,
It will communicate to us.
And lastly,
We can take a moment to zoom out and feel the bones,
The structural integrity of our body.
My foundation is strong.
My bones are strong.
My structure is integral.
Sitting in awe as we acknowledge this beautiful structure that surrounds us,
That houses us for this lifetime.
With the understanding that perhaps while we may not have known this body as we entered at birth,
As our soul collided with this new being,
That we had the privilege during this lifetime as to be a guest in the home of this body.
And as a guest,
We can clean up after ourselves and show gratitude and spend quality time with the body and show appreciation and compassion.
That this body is a gift and we are the caretakers.
And as we start to maintain and caretaker for this body,
Then it will take care of us as well.
That will show us love back.
We'll finish today's practice with two vibrational breaths.
And as we inhale,
We can hold at the top and we'll release the sound on the exhale.
Let's do one more vibrational breath.
Let's bring the rest of today to enjoy this body,
To explore this body with curiosity and love.
May this continue to be a day of love and exploration and curiosity.
Thank you for joining me today.
Thank you from your body to your body,
From my body.
May you have a peaceful,
Peaceful rest.
Namaste.
