Hello beloveds and welcome to today's meditation.
Taking a few moments to arrive here in this space.
Making yourself comfortable.
Maybe taking some deeper inhales and exhales.
And if it feels comfortable for you,
Closing your eyes.
Let your attention rest lightly on the space behind the eyes.
Thoughts will come.
Just let them.
Just simply noticing.
Now,
Notice a moment just before a thought appears.
There is a gap.
A stillness.
A nothing.
Do not try to hold this stillness.
Just notice.
Each time a thought ends,
Rest for a breath in what remains.
That which remains has always been here.
Just simply noticing the dance between thought and stillness.
Between action and non-action.
Not clinging to either thought or stillness.
Resting in the awareness of both.
What is it that is aware of all of this?
Resting here as the one who sees but cannot be seen.
Each time a thought ends,
Rest for a breath in what remains.
The stillness.
The nothing.
That which remains has always been here.
And when you are ready,
Dear ones,
Slowly bringing your awareness back to your body and the room you are in.
Gently opening your eyes if they have been closed.
And maybe stretching out your body a little.
My invitation for you today is to take this stillness,
This nothing-ness,
This stillness that lies behind every thought and sensation.
To be with you consciously throughout the day.
Take care,
Dear ones.
