Hello and welcome to this meditation to relieve cramps and PMS,
To connect to your sacred feminine energy and to the miracles your body is capable of achieving and that it demonstrates at every menstrual cycle.
Let's start by gifting yourself this special moment of reconnection and harmony with your body by creating the relaxing and cozy atmosphere that you fully deserve.
What I personally like to do is smudge the space with some white sage or burn some incense to clear up the energy and let my body snuggle into its voluptuousness during my practice.
But maybe you'd rather burn a scented candle or love the smell of lavender essential oil for instance,
Which will also come in handy at the end of this meditation to gently massage your womb area with small circular motions for period cramp relief.
But for now,
Just find a comfortable place to meditate without any external interruption or distraction.
Once you'll have some comfy blankets and cushions ready,
Go ahead and slowly lay down on your back,
Bending your knees and letting them fall on each side of your body,
With your knees pointing upwards and the soles of your feet against each other.
This posture will allow you to open your pelvic area and thus relax the womb.
Feel free to adjust your posture as you wish to feel relaxed and open to the meditation that is about to start.
If this reversed frog posture is even slightly uncomfortable or painful to you,
You can alternatively imagine that you're laying in a lavender field with your arms wide open on both sides of your body,
Palms towards the sky and legs open too,
As if you were making a snow angel with your feet relaxed and pointing outwards.
And close your eyes.
Start to feel your body relax.
The lines on your face get smoothed out.
Your jaw is loosening up a bit more,
Your forehead is softening more every second that goes by,
And your tongue is resting against your palate to let your mouth gently and effortlessly stay open.
As soon as you'll start relaxing in silence and without any distraction around you,
You'll probably notice that a lot of random thoughts will start rushing through your head.
Simply notice them.
Don't try to label them or analyze them.
Just observe your mind brush them away like the wind blows away the clouds in the sky.
Now start to synchronize the flow of your thoughts with every breath that enters your nose goes down the back of your throat before traveling all the way to your lower belly.
Then exhale it slowly through your mouth,
Directing your focus towards the relaxing sound of the air exiting your body when you breathe out.
Breathe in with a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
Filling in your belly,
Lifting up your navel and allowing the energy around you to merge with the energy you have inside.
Before breathing it all out,
Enjoy the fluid and airy sound of your voice each time that the air penetrates your body,
Just before flowing out of it.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and breathe out through your mouth,
Surrendering to the comfort of the lavender field which is supporting your relaxed and open body.
Now feel the lavender sprays between your fingers,
Inhale deeply the relaxing perfume of fresh lavender and appreciate the rustling lavender in the light breeze gently kissing your face.
When you breathe in,
Visualize the warm air reaching your lower belly and allowing the air to fill it in as with your lungs and simultaneously relax all the muscle tissues down there.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Now start rubbing your hands together for a few seconds in order to transform your energy into heat.
Then gently place your hands on your lower belly,
Right under your navel,
With the tips of both thumbs touching and the index fingers united together to form a triangle pointing towards your feet.
Slowly direct your attention and your breathing towards this triangle to infuse it with a warm and comforting orange light.
Imagine that the more you focus your mind to activate this orange light,
The more it warms up and relaxes your sacred chakra.
Observe in this very moment how your short,
Shallow breath caused by the painful cramps you are experiencing may grow now for long,
Slow,
Deep breaths that relax every convulsion and every contraction one breath at a time.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Feel the warmth in your hands that is softening and smoothing out any tension you may have been feeling.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Using the heel of your hands or the ball of your thumbs,
Apply light pressure on the lower part of the belly that is in contact with them.
And breathe in and breathe out.
Feel the power of each breath that comes in to unravel the cramps one by one,
The remaining tense muscles and pain,
And leave room to just a warm and comforting orange light instead.
Feel the earth beneath your body and the magical connection between your feminine energy,
Which is glowing at this time of the month,
And the divine and infinite nature that surrounds you and protects you.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through your nose to fill yourself up with the energy of the universe that surrounds you,
And breathe out through your mouth with a sigh to free your feminine energy.
So breathe in and breathe out.
In order to strengthen this universal energy,
Feminine energy cycle,
Breathe in and breathe out.
One last time,
Breathe in the universal energy and breathe out your feminine and pour it back into the universe.
Surrender to the present moment and to this welcoming,
Cozy and safe space you've created for yourself.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Surrender every second you're dedicating to yourself by breathing in and breathing out.
Take the time to express your gratitude for this body that allows you to go wherever you want,
Live life on your terms,
And with each menstrual cycle,
Remind you the magnificent and magical power of creation that lies into you.
Breathe in and breathe out.
It's okay if you tend to have mood swings during your period,
Accept it with a deep breath.
Breathe in and out.
It's perfectly okay if you feel less motivated,
Dynamic,
Or hard-working than usual.
Accept it with a deep breath.
Breathe in and breathe out.
It's totally okay if you tend to be less patient and connected with your body than you're used to.
Accept it and give it some extra love with this deep breath.
So breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in,
I love my body,
And breathe out,
And I am grateful for it.
Breathe in,
I love my body,
And breathe out,
And I am grateful for it.
Breathe in,
I love my body,
And breathe out,
And I am grateful for it.
Breathe in,
I love my body,
And breathe out,
And I am grateful for it.
Breathe in,
I love my body,
And breathe out,
And I am grateful for it.
I love my body,
And I am grateful for it.
I love my body,
And I am grateful for it.
I love my body,
And I am grateful for it.
I love my body,
And I am grateful for it.
Dive deep into yourself while you repeat this mantra out loud and try to feel what positive impact it has on you.
Ask yourself,
Compared to how I was feeling before treating myself with a sacred moment of self-reflection and meditation,
What kind of thoughts,
Feelings,
And things do I now want to dedicate myself to?
And take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and breath out with a sigh of relief.
In and out with a sigh of relief.
Let's do the lion's breath one last time together.
Breathe in and breathe out with a sigh of relief while you feel the energy of the universe around you and inside you.
Now,
Let's take a moment to enjoy this peaceful state we're in and feel the soft and warm sensation of well-being in our womb.
Each time the healing energy of prana flows through it.
Remember now that you managed to relieve your period pain and reconnect with your feminine,
From now on,
You'll have access to it whenever you feel like you need it.
But for now,
Savor for as long as you wish this precious moment of alignment with yourself.
And when you're ready,
Wiggle your toes,
Wiggle your fingers,
And gently open your eyes to consciously come back to the room you're currently in.
Namaste.
