Heart connection across distance.
A holiday meditation for you and your dog.
Welcome my dear friend.
This is a meditation to hold you in a space of love,
Trust,
As you prepare to take time away from your beloved dog.
Whether you're going on holiday,
Travel for a retreat,
Or simply needing space for yourself.
This is a sacred moment to reconnect with your deep bond,
To soften the edges of goodbye and to remember that love continues,
Even when you're apart.
Let this meditation soothe any worry or guilt you may be carrying.
You are not leaving love behind.
You are expanding it.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in.
And a soft releasing breath out.
Let's do that again.
Breathing in deeply through your heart and out through your belly.
Letting the day fall away.
Imagine yourself standing in a beautiful open field,
Gentle sun above you,
Soft grass beneath your feet,
A space of trust,
Truth and love.
Let's call in our sacred guardians of this space.
To the east,
The guardian of new beginnings.
To the south,
The protector of heart and joy.
To the west,
The keeper of emotions and release.
To the north,
The anchor of wisdom and stability.
Above the light of the higher guidance and below the grounding energy of the earth,
All around you.
Your spirit team and the unconditional love that always surrounds you.
Invite your beloved dog into this circle with you.
Their spirit,
Their essence,
Their presence.
See them joyfully arriving,
Tail wagging,
Eyes soft and glowing.
They know why you're here.
Feel the heart to heart connection between you and your dogs.
This quiet understanding the way your souls have woven together over time.
Feel their loyalty,
Their love,
The way they've witnessed you without needing words.
And feel your love for them.
The warmth,
The care,
The deep knowing that they are a part of your family,
Of your journey.
Gently place your hands over your heart and imagine sending a golden thread of love to your dog.
Watch it gently wrap around their heart and back to yours,
Forming an infinite loop.
No matter the distance,
This thread will not break.
You may say this silently or aloud.
Even when we are apart,
Our hearts remain connected.
You are always held in my love.
And gently sit together in the center of this circle.
You may place your hand on their head or feel them leaning softly against you.
In this quiet space,
Let any emotion rise.
Let the love,
The sadness both be welcome.
This is not about shutting down.
It's about staying open so that love can keep flowing.
Envision the person or people who will be caring for your dog.
See their face or simply sense their presence.
Let yourself feel into the love they will offer.
The food,
The walks,
The belly rubs,
The playful moments.
It may not be the same love you offer,
But still love.
It is more than enough.
Abundant love.
Trust this.
Your dog is not being abandoned.
They are being watched over,
Supported,
And held until your return.
Breathe that in.
Imagine a soft blue light,
The color of calm,
Gently surrounding your dog.
This light is peaceful,
Protective,
And kind.
It says you are safe.
You are loved.
You are not alone.
Place a whisper of intention into this light.
Perhaps something like,
May you feel joy in each day.
May you trust in my return.
May your heart be light and free.
Imagine your own heart surrounded in that same blue light.
Breathe in the freedom to go.
The permission to rest.
And the trust that your dog will be okay.
And when you're ready,
Slowly return.
You may gently pet your dog one more time,
Or simply bow to them in gratitude.
Feel the golden thread still intact.
It will remain.
Take a moment to thank the sacred guardians for their presence.
To the East,
South,
West,
And North.
To above and below.
To the love that always holds us both.
Thank you,
My dear friend,
For this moment of connection.
Thank you,
Beloved dog,
For your love,
Your patience,
And your trust.
And when you're ready,
Gently come back into your body.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Feel the breath move through you.
And return to this moment with softness.
Carry this peace with you,
Knowing that your love has been felt.
And that your dog is already held in the loving care you've prepared for them.
You are free to go.
And when you return,
Love will meet you again at the door.
Thank you for taking this sacred moment.
May your holiday be restful.
And your dog's day be filled with joy.
Welcome back.
And welcome home.
