I'm dedicating this meditation today to all those who've helped me when I've needed help.
So grateful for the community of people who help support this healing journey and this life.
Dedicate this meditation to my friend,
Sarah.
So slowly noticing the body resting there,
Sitting in your chosen position,
And go ahead and close down the eyes or find a soft gaze,
Turning the attention inward to sensations in the body,
Just noticing your feet resting there.
We often hold energies from the day in our bodies and energies from the past.
So in this present moment,
If you can just go and find anything that feels tight or constricted in your body,
And just notice with curious attention this energy,
Perhaps notice where it's located in the body as best you can with words in your mind's eye,
Just noticing hotness,
Tightness,
Size,
Shape,
And the images that are present.
Continuing to relax the entire body into the surface you're resting upon and continuing to look at the sensation with the spirit of kindness,
Curiosity.
Might be useful to connect in with the breath here,
Just noticing hotness or coolness,
Noticing the sensation changing,
Continuing to note how it feels in this present moment in the body,
As best you can,
Allowing the sensation to be here just as it is.
Deep honor,
Deep noticing of this awareness in the body,
And I should continue to look at the sensation in this region of your body,
As best you can,
Remaining curious to any changing images,
Sensations that are present in this present moment.
Continuing to soften with the breath,
When you're ready,
Perhaps deepening the breath into this region of your body,
Planting into the space around the edges of sensation or throughout the sensation itself.
This gentle curiosity,
As best you can,
Shifting your attention from this region of your body to the body as a whole,
Perhaps sensing into the legs and the arms,
Feeling the pressure of your body resting on the surface.
And for the last little bit of this meditation,
Just bring your awareness now to the heart center,
Offering yourself a bit of gratitude for your commitment to show up,
To show up for this shared healing,
This awareness,
As you can,
Sensing into the spaciousness of your heart,
This container of care that you carry with you always.
Settling into this region,
The next couple of breaths,
Just noticing the breath here at the heart.
So as we end our practice,
Perhaps just taking this attention and intention out into the rest of your day,
Sharing the merits of this beautiful loving kindness practice with others that you meet as you carry on with your day,
Whether it be with a smile or just a gentle presence as you walk by.
