If it’s true that most of my thoughts are in some way or another about the past... and if it’s true that my future is created by my thoughts... then unless I stop this wasteful thinking, I am bound to create the past again. The past can feel like chains, binding me tightly to things that are no longer successful, relevant, or helpful. So let me do something... let go of these thoughts... let them float up and far away... and the further they go, the lighter I feel... and the fourth This track contains ambient sounds in the background

When we come somewhere or go anywhere that's like this or go to a cookery class or go to a gym or wherever you go you go to learn something or to do something practical to an exercise some description When we go to school to college we also go to learn something and there's there are rules and and somehow we know we're wasting our money and our time if we don't a bit at least stick with the rules So I was thinking that when we come here it's a bright sunny beautiful day So you've come away from that You've either used your energy to get here or you've used money to get here and you're using That which is really precious your time and so you've come to receive something and So we're going to talk today in a very practical way in anything that touches you Don't just go away thinking well that was good and that touched my heart But say no,

I'm gonna try this I'm going to actually practice this and then if you come again You will have more deeper understanding of this Spiritual University it is a teaching place teaches us to become calm and peaceful and Light-hearted and we all have our physical energies to live with But it teaches us somehow to feel okay or better about everything and not be so Traumatized or concerned so to go away Taking something that you're going to allow it's you that have to allow whatever it is to resonate within you No matter where you go Whoever people could have massive degrees and everything's that in front of you Telling you the most incredible thing but none of that's going to actually penetrate or do anything much for you Unless there's something that you decide to practice so the person who educates the self is the self so we could go to the highest places listen to the cleverest speakers and Think wow,

I really enjoyed that then walk out the door and never ever Turn it over in our minds as to what what did I actually hear?

I'm going to practice this So even the tiniest thing that you would practice Can change your life forever and it would be your own choice and Your own way of seeing what you're doing your own choice and Your own way of seeing whatever you see and what you have chosen that is good for you Whoever's sitting here speaking to you cannot change you They might just prompt you to have some thoughts of benefit for yourself The power to pack up and let go so we're going to look at things that are uncomfortable for us and Do our best to?

Bypass them or put them to the back and and then at some point we might look to see what could I do better?

But you don't get you get caught up in them You know we again you're caught up in Whatever is uncomfortable if it happens to be true That most of my thoughts are in some way or another about the past I'm sure that will resonate with everyone it still business with me,

And I've been doing this for a long time You have to actually meet the effort to think I Cannot change that It's past Thinking about crying about it and worrying about it and blaming about it is Wasting my energy off now in the present so if I could Really think of that Or I could start to think if the people are still around me or whatever Think of them in a nicer way If it's something painful think of them in a nicer way today But that will only change how I am today where I am today And I cannot change that which is in the past and why can't I change it?

It's already happened That's why it's part of my memories and It's recorded on my memory track.

I could go right back Some of us can go right back to early childhood.

I can go back to about two years old I Can see it's vivid today.

I could see it then only now I understand what I'm saying Some people start to see that from their five years old maybe six years old But you can see you can see all your school friends your school teachers the ones you like the ones you didn't like The people who pushed and shoved you in the playground your playpiece Everything you can see All of that So what use is that to us really now actually we're not At school for the first time now and we've had all the experiences many other experiences And they're all recorded And what's the point of thinking oh?

That was dreadful Oh that person That person was terrible to me I'm giving Bad vibrations that person still for something that happened 20 years ago And i'm still having dislike for whatever happened that's not going to help me It's going to keep pulling me down our thoughts will be created or pulled into the past and if this is true That my future is created by my thoughts Am I going to keep unless I stop this wasteful thinking?

If I keep thinking of the past i'm just going to create the past again those energies of dislike those energies of All the discomfort are going to come in today's Relationships today's relationships may be okay,

But i'm putting a filter over them or distrust of the past I think no Oh,

I don't know if I oh i'm not sure about this.

Oh,

I think this person Is not really my friend so I wouldn't be able to create happiness today Because I would be putting the filter of the past over now Over the past Over now over the present so the past Maybe we've all got a past we've all been there not just words the past can create chains Like we're Caught up we're bound and we're bound by our thoughts that are heavy And disenchanted and not trusting and we're bound become bound by that And it's difficult to be happy Quite often people think how could how can you be happy?

You have to make yourself happy So the past can feel like chains they're binding me tightly to things that are no longer successful or even relevant or helpful So I have to make The present a clean sheet actually But i'll have become wise by my past Hopefully wise Hopefully wise enough to think but this is not So and so and so and so that these are other people I don't need to think like that.

Let's at least give it a chance.

Let me put fresh energy into me So,

Let me do something and let me let go of all these thoughts Of the past This is where meditation comes in Let them float away And the further they go the lighter I feel the more i'm able to go down i'm not going there I'm going to feel peaceful calm I'm going to feel that there's there is a chance for lightness and Feelings of well-being and happiness.

I'm just going to keep focusing on that.

It's now the present and in the present I can create But remember it's the self that has to create because the person telling you this cannot come and create it for you Because it all happens inside your own head Your past is your past your present is your present and Your future is your future in your own hands So the more I can focus on being peaceful and calm Not to go there Have hopefulness Have good feelings for the self there's good good energies in the self Let me find those good energies and focus on them That i'm very generous hearted i'm kind I want to be friendly And useful and I want to cooperate with people and I want to do something that's That is very good with my energy So let me focus on the best that's in me rather than go to things that I had no control over whatsoever The more I think like this then the quieter and more still My energy becomes And you don't have to be doing this for 10 20 years for this to happen If you wish it to happen It can begin the process now This very second we develop the strength To say no To negativity So even good things that happened in the past they're the past They're the past So I have to Come keep if that was good,

Then i've got that feeling of goodness I can use now in the present I don't have to lean on the past To feel good,

It's still negative to be looking at the past I can learn I can learn my lessons It can inspire me to say well I have that in me that kindness I'm going to use it now i'd forgotten I'd forgotten I had that kindness in me I was too busy mourning the past So letting go Of those ways of thinking It requires courage And forgiveness And trust And pure heartedness Heartedness everyone here has Courage Forgiveness and trust and pure heartedness.

Why would I say that?

Because you wouldn't be here otherwise So when you let go of expectations that you have of yourself And the expectations that others have of you so I need to try and comply and Make them proud of me and do this and that When you let go of that and just simply look at Who you are What you're capable of in a very very very good way Then you can have greater understanding And compassion not only for yourself But for others So whatever happened in the past they they also were at the mercy of different energies So I have to start looking at this clear.

It wasn't just me that was upset and hurt or that felt heavy or But others would feel that also and then I decided to become their judge and jury and Blame them and without looking this any blame for me.

There must have been a maybe a touch there But I just looked at others And what they did to me and even if I was blameless then People in our past would be without power because they're not practicing how to look at themselves They wouldn't have the strength to do anything except react react react And they would feel they did the best they could And we would feel they had done terrible things to distress us And they would feel that you did terrible things to distress them if they look back at their past They would see that with you Who did whatever?

So it would be able to have compassion Not only for yourself,

But also for others Others who were involved with you then You begin to see that they also didn't know They also were doing the best they could and they maybe didn't according to you make a very good job of it,

But then According to them,

Maybe you didn't make a good job of it Because we were caught up in different energies Now we've come to listen and learn And practice something to take away So in letting go of what you think you know And who you think you are that's that's who I was I was very bullied.

I was very oppressed I was I was very unhappy You don't want to keep carrying that forward forward forward No Instead of thinking about what you think you know Instead of thinking like that think that you have now become free You're free from the past the past's away there now we're in the present Self-respect Discipline Positivity and pure heartedness All of these things are in you now And in a way it's thanks to the past So it's not just to go But you learned How uncomfortable it was to have those negative feelings And now that you're in the present you're actually free from that so why hold on to the way it was Because the way it was even things you held dear and and they don't exist now or someone died or You were left alone But that's changed as well They've gone on in their journey So you've come here to now continue your journey So to continue your journey you have to look at who am I?

And that's why we say meditation because meditation When I sit And encourage myself to be still As best I can and silent And understand And Understand that my thoughts can lift me up Or they can keep pulling me down and too deep to spare So we have the choice Do you want to feel okay about yourself because you will be Beautiful beautiful energy right now Definitely because that's why you've come to explore So having made the journey And spent money and given your time use it in a worthwhile way And start Seeing yourself for who you are the good the good the good that's in you Keep telling yourself keep focusing on that It is a practice It is a practice this practice of Seeing the self as peaceful and meditation and as much as you can Feel the benefit of it You will want to know more and want to explore it is when i'm sharing something or reading something I feel all the good qualities Supporting me So I feel and I feel that I want to smile while i'm speaking.

I want to I feel Love and contentment and strength.

I couldn't actually do this in the ordinary way that I used to do it But I can feel inner strength coming to me Appreciation coming to me Right-heartedness coming to me as i'm speaking words Screeds and screeds of ordinary words And then I feel myself smile as i'm speaking these words now if I was just factually reading those words There wouldn't be much happening there for me Or for whoever's listening So the more you practice what's in you you definitely these good energies are in all of us because and this is a big leap for you to take but When you would have your early births You would be fresh Your energy would be fresh And it would be easy for you to be kind and loving and good-natured cheerful It would be easy because it's there all the stuff that we've gathered through our experiences of our journey Have give us that other energy Which is not so comfortable and would rather That's why don't go too far into the past Think of How you're speaking now,

When i'm speaking to you just now I feel hope in myself for myself For all of you I feel hope And I feel that Although we've just met some of us,

But we're coming from the same page We all have a past We're all here in the present And what I understand now and encourage myself to be Will be my future it's as simple as that and You truly have wondrous qualities within you but Thinking of the past makes me doubt That I ever could have these good qualities The past comes to go now Nah,

This is all always me And we've got you starting actually we can play it like I used to like that actually I used to love having Time to myself to feel so terrible And I used to feel great about it I said oh tonight i'm just going to go and just Feel awful about life But it's not a good habit so now you can go and feel great about yourself So keep reminding yourself of the things that are in you you have beautiful beautiful energies In such a habit,

Blaming is such a habit Well,

What happens is there has to be something we think we're getting from that And what we feel we're getting is as much as I can blame something I can feel that i'm holier than them I'm so wonderful so you must not blame people like that I find I find meditation has helped me to stay Much stronger and steadier and calmer So therefore be much more effective and impactful when I do use my voice With one thought I go inside and touch that point of peace And I am in this moment now where all is well I am light I am peace and I have the power to choose my thoughts I have the power to choose kind benevolent thoughts Aum Shanti I am light and I am peace and I have the power to choose my thoughts I am light and I have the power to choose kind I am light and I am peace I am light and I am peace I am light and I am peace I have the power to choose kind benevolent thoughts Aum Shanti
