
Energy In A Time Of Crisis

Even the big obstacles in front are something to learn. If I learn, I am diffusing something inside and it will become neutralised. You don’t just become peaceful by sitting in stillness (although that’s part of it), you have to look inside, deal with your attitudes and begin to diffuse. What was the cause to create the effect?

Aum Shanti and welcome to Soul to Soul.
My name is Rose,
I'm from the Brahmacumaris in Glasgow and tonight we're going to talk about energy in a time of crisis.
We have actually reached a time of enormous crisis globally in the world.
There's many different factors all coming in and challenging our way of life.
When we practice meditation and when we practice being spiritual,
We begin to really appreciate the power of our own energy because we need now more than ever to feel we have the power of our own energy,
Our own selves and for that we need to appreciate this incredible treasure of the power of our thinking and be taking ownership of ourselves.
And it's all to do with thoughts but it's not just random thinking.
I need a support system just like we need to store things in a cupboard for times of need but I need a support system of steady,
Peaceful,
Reassuring thoughts so I need to create thoughts that are useful for me because you see when I create thoughts they create energy patterns which I don't need to try to store but I do store them but I need to make them powerful,
The ones that are very useful for me by focusing on them and practicing them again and again and checking that they're working for me.
So I need to think that a store is always there and that I can tap into it and I need to think that a store is always there and that I can tap into it when I need to.
So if we think things like if we practice meditation every day is I would say a must,
You know,
Otherwise you're going to say this doesn't work.
Nothing works that isn't practiced or that doesn't really quite exist so if you don't create powerful energy patterns with your thoughts how can you pull on them?
And so for instance if over and over in your meditation you think yeah make it repetitious I am peace,
I am peace,
I the soul am a being of peace,
I am peace,
I am peaceful,
I am calm,
I am steady.
This is a requirement and then I could go further if I have a feeling about if I could believe in there's a one above,
A divine being,
I could feel I am a child of the ocean of peace,
Then I could feel a very big safety structure there.
If I keep thinking that and I develop faith in that I can feel I have a strong strong bonding support system with myself.
But in order for this to work I do need to practice these over and over again.
And I need to practice this when there is not a big crisis happening,
When it's ordinary everyday life.
Well you will have many little challenges even in ordinary,
I don't know if there is ordinary nowadays,
But I need to practice them in situations that I can handle and that I can watch and I know that I can see what's happening there.
So when I do this with little baby steps you might say,
Practice them over and over again,
There's no huge crisis and to keep on testing and to keep on using them.
Like check,
Oh gosh I felt I was going to be upset there but then I wasn't so upset,
I stayed more peaceful.
This is what I've been doing for years actually,
Keeping myself more calm,
More peaceful and it's amazing how it develops and it grows.
And if I do this,
If I keep testing and using them,
Then I could be sure that they will work for me.
And then when something happens out of the blue,
Because we never quite know when the big things are going to happen,
Right in front of us,
A phone call,
A message,
A happening right before our eyes,
So it just happens like that when something big happens.
And then when I do this,
I can be sure that I can use them.
Then because then I can use them and I can be sure that this would work for me.
Because if I don't do that,
My stock won't be very strong,
My store cupboard,
Because I wouldn't have been filling it up,
It will be quite empty,
You know,
It'll be just a little bit of,
Oh yeah,
Oh I forgot,
Oh I did it twice last week or,
Yeah,
Well I'm going to do it next week.
So it's like,
If a big strong situation comes,
Could that support me?
No,
No,
It would to be real here.
And if I haven't got the determination to keep practicing this,
I will feel that instead of feeling powerful,
I will feel weak and I feel quite empty,
Like no strength.
And then I'll say,
This doesn't work.
I was thinking to myself that if somebody comes to do some work in your house and fix some equipment or you take your car to get fixed or whatever,
And if they just had a look at it,
Did a quick flick through it and gave you it back but didn't test it,
They'd say,
Oh it must work,
I put that in,
I put that in,
I put the other thing in,
So it's okay,
Give you it back.
You go to use it and it doesn't work.
You'd be on the phone saying this doesn't work,
So they'd say bring it back in and then they'd have to actually test it,
But most people will test everything before they would leave it or give you it back and then say that's it,
You're fine,
You're up and running.
So it's the same with our thoughts,
They're energy,
But they're our own energy that lives inside us and they belong to us.
And so when I make these thoughts powerful and I keep,
And it's so simple because it's the power of peace basically.
And peace is my original nature and what I'm doing is I'm taking ownership of my energy and I'm taking ownership of peace and making it powerful peace that will support me in a time of need.
And keep remembering I am the creator of my energy.
So it's easy for me to think I think I'm the creator of my energy.
So it's easy for me to think I thought,
But I have to practice creating and using it in everyday mundane ordinary situations.
And if I could meditate daily,
But not just sitting for some time meditating,
But remembering this practice as I go through my day,
Saying steady on when a situation arises,
Be steady,
Be still,
Be calm,
You can do it,
You can do it inside my head.
Now the person that's challenging me doesn't know that I'm telling myself inside,
Be calm,
Be steady and keep a smile on your face,
You can do it.
You're fine,
You're doing fine,
So I need to learn to encourage myself.
So if I could meditate daily and remember God the divine,
The one above,
I think you would find it was remarkable.
I need to take responsibility for the way I think,
Because outside there I have no responsibility or no power over what anyone else thinks,
It's all in their head.
And the way I think is that I have no responsibility for what I think.
And so don't just blame others for things you don't like that's happening,
Because that's when your reactions come and that's when you would need to be steady.
And you'll feel quite helpless otherwise you'd think,
Oh gosh,
Here I am and I've got a lot of energy to deal with and I haven't got the power to do anything about it.
And so look at the laws of energy,
Because looking at energy and the rule of energy and your own energy is uplifting.
It lifts you up.
I learn to cope.
I learn to empower the self.
Excuse me.
When challenging situations come.
So can thoughts create your support system?
So if you check your thoughts and think,
What are you thinking that's creating that low feeling?
You feel pretty hopeless,
Maybe at some point or a bit without energy or motive,
What are you thinking?
Track the thoughts and uplift the thoughts.
Heavy emotional thinking patterns will pull you down until you feel hopeless.
And once they've pulled you down,
It's quite a struggle to get yourself up again.
A lot of people say,
Oh gosh,
How can I lift myself up?
You just lift yourself up with your energy of your thoughts.
So just look at the actions that you're performing and the way you're thinking and what is the effect it's having on your thoughts.
And what is the effect it's having on you?
What could you do about it?
All you have to do is change your thoughts,
That's all.
And if you've been practicing the peaceful thoughts,
Just grab a hold of some of these thoughts you've been practicing because they're in your store cupboard.
You can easily access them because it belongs to you.
You could look at when you have discomfort,
When you have a negative attitude,
You can allow that to get stronger and deeper,
Or you can think,
I have to think something different.
We can often think that,
Oh,
Once it's going away,
Once it goes away,
That's it.
But no,
You have the pattern.
You have the pattern of the discomfort and the negative attitude.
And the only way to start weakening the discomfort and the negative attitude is instead of using that to stop it when you feel it and start to use more peaceful thoughts,
That way you are replacing,
Or we could use the word transforming,
The discomfort for the more comfortable.
There's no point of just covering it up with a false smile and keep going and yes,
Yes,
I'm fine,
I'm fine,
But inside you're not fine.
So that's the old way.
That's how we've been doing it for a long time.
But if I cover it up and cover it up and keep on covering it up,
It has to come out eventually.
It will burst out onto the surface.
And that's when we get very anxious or angry or stressed or very vulnerable.
And these are also our own energy.
So I can do something about these feelings.
If I can remember my support system and if I've created a store of positive thoughts and I remember it's always there if I've created it and I just have taught myself the path to go there and I can feel the peace,
That I am peace,
I'm a being of peace,
I'm a being of peace,
I can be calm,
Steady,
Still,
Silent.
All of those beautiful energies belong to me.
And remember that I am the creator of my energy,
But I do have to practice creating and using it in everyday,
Everyday life,
In ordinary,
Everyday situations.
And the basis for this would be to have a steady practice of doing meditation,
If possible,
Early in the day.
That you're a point of light,
A soul,
And within being the point of light,
The soul,
Your original nature is peace.
You've been on a long journey and we've collected many,
Many different ways of acting and reacting and being.
And somehow we're trapped within our own energy because we really didn't think about it too much and we didn't really value the fact that we were thinkers in the correct way and that we could use our thoughts to make us free,
To free us and allow us to have that strength to not come under the influence of others or situations.
And it is a time of crisis and I want to not be caught up by crisis,
I want to be free from crisis,
I want to be powerful within my own being.
And so the way to do it is to create the thoughts over and over,
Basic,
Peaceful thoughts.
And remember whose child I am,
So I have a huge,
Huge support system there,
But I need to practice this over and over and over again.
And throughout the day we're all busy but there's always spaces between our thoughts when I can get,
Remember I'm calm and then go on with whatever I have to do that's very busy and takes up my mind.
And then a few minutes later I might have another space and think remember I'm calm.
And every time you think of calmness and peace you empower your whole energy system and you can feel the power of that peace throughout your whole body system.
And the story of that goes on and on forever because the benefits of that are unbelievably absolute.
Because everything that you are comes from the power of peace and then it becomes disturbed and peace less.
So don't put up with discomfort and negative attitudes and think I'll just,
It'll be okay.
Because if you cover it up it has to burst out and we don't want that because then we find regret and I wish I hadn't and I wish I hadn't said that and gosh.
Because relationships are very fragile and it's usually with other people that we have disturbance and once you've created a disturbance it's difficult to put it right.
People are not as forgiving as we think they are.
So I have to forgive myself now.
I have to have mercy on myself now and empower myself now.
So give yourself energy in a time of crisis.

Can I ask a question about the importance of celebrating the small gains and being pleased with my progress and how important that is because you were saying it's ordinary,
It's in the mundane that I accumulate,
It's over a long period of time so this isn't going to happen in a week,
In a month or even a year that I can really lift my energy.
So how do I keep the motivation going?
Well first you have to be doing something to be motivated about.
You have to be doing something,
You have to be practicing this foundation of making a store of positive thoughts and then you need to really congratulate yourself.
You have to give yourself a kind of spiritual pat on the back all the time,
All the time,
All the time and teach yourself to appreciate yourself because yourself is your most wonderful person that you'll ever meet actually.
Because yourself is your life and so really to teach yourself to appreciate yourself and encourage and encourage and encourage yourself over and over say well done.
And even if someone is not appreciating you that's fine,
That's the way they are and I mustn't get disturbed by that because people come from where they're coming from and I have to just start to understand,
I will start to understand because it's as if many windows open in life that I can see how it works which I couldn't see before.
Okay.
If I do find something bursts out that I have been suppressing and I haven't dealt with it what would you say is like the quickest or safest way to scramble back and regain energy especially if another person's been involved maybe?
What would you suggest?
Well sometimes if you've been practicing this and you start to burst out sort of with a bit of aggression or annoyance you will know like you didn't know before that you're doing it.
And I found for myself what I would have done was as quick as a flash I tried to change it even halfway through the burst out if possible and backtrack as fast as I can but maybe that's not possible but if you can and if not and the person has sort of shouted and run away or something and you can't get hold of them you need to find a way to basically be so humble that you ask say you're sorry as fast as you can before it gets a chance for them to create lots and lots of waste thoughts about you thinking bad things about you which is not good because that energy will come back to you much more than what you gave out so as quick as a flash I would find ways to say look or even if you said something that wasn't that bad that they took it the wrong way you have to find a way to try and clarify that and even if they really won't listen to you you have to find a way to try your best to say something but if you do your best then it's it goes into the good account of your energy if they refuse to listen that's part of their energy journey because you're doing your best to make it up quickly before it ferments if you like and solidifies into hatred anger and distance and huge big problems that come from that so you just as quick as anything do your best to put it right okay and just as you were talking as well I got a feeling about how this is a very light kind of precise too I'd always thought previously meditation is quite a somber um pursuit of great seriousness but actually it is about enlightenment it is about lightening up and realizing the power of light and I've experienced how you play games with your thoughts it's that you sing songs in your mind and it's like you dance the dance of relationship with others could you say something about that and maybe also a connection with how you relate to the divine as well just about laughing playing games playing games singing songs making it real yeah well you would have to be know what I do maybe and what everybody else does might be a wee bit different if you identify that there is a higher energy then you need to appreciate that and how lucky you are that you've had the good fortune to be in that company that you have the good fortune to be able to experience the company of the higher energy and if you can appreciate that you will feel that there's a hand to support you will feel that there's a hand to support at your back and even in dire situations you'll feel you want to smile even dance inside your head you'll feel you want to dance now in this birth I've not been fortunate enough to be good at swimming but this morning I was thinking of that one as an ocean of love and I experienced myself swimming in that ocean of love the early morning meditation and I was oh I was dancing in the in the ocean I felt I was dancing I thought how can I dance so I wish I can't even swim but I was so happy it was like a baby with no worries and absolutely joyous but for that you need to use your thoughts to appreciate your luck and your good fortune that you are the luckiest person on the planet to be able to even think that you're a soul and you're able to start creating your thoughts knowingly so because once you do that it means you're developing a very pure intellect and by developing a pure intellect you've got what people do call in a sort of a different type of way but you've got the third eye of wisdom.

So now what we'll do is we'll look at a few minutes of peace.
So sitting peacefully focusing on the center of your forehead just think the thoughts that I am the light in the center of my forehead.
I am a being of peace.
My energies and the energies of all human beings are originally the same so it helps us to come into that harmony with others because all human beings are souls in the center of the forehead and on the start of our journey before we developed fears etc our energies were peace and our energy was purest energy and our energies were love and happiness and what I've understood from doing this meditation that the one above is made up of those same energies.
That one hasn't a physical body but that one's made of purest energy,
Peace,
Love and bliss which is why if you can now think I am a child of the ocean of peace.
So play with these thoughts these beautiful peaceful calm steady powerful thoughts I am peace I am love I am happiness purest energy purest energy
