Rhythm of release,
Reflection.
From pain new life is born.
In the darkest moments when we feel most broken,
There is a quiet stirring beneath the surface.
It whispers of transformation,
Of the power in releasing what no longer serves and of the strength in embracing what feels like surrender.
This journey,
This rhythm of release is not just a shedding of the old but a reclamation of who we are meant to become.
When we allow ourselves to fully feel,
To dance with the shadows we clear the path of light to enter.
For new visions and new rhythms,
For freedom from pain,
The soul awakens.
It is not the end but the beginning.
Can you remember a time when you just let your body be and move in a way it wanted to without question?
Have you ever tried to have a conversation with your hips or let your hands express your emotions?
If no,
Then today may be the day you try something new.
Healing doesn't always look like stillness.
Let's face it,
Life isn't always still at all.
It can look like a full body wiggle and shake,
A dramatic flow,
A gentle shimmy you never saw coming and sometimes like the skies just opened up and poured on you.
This poem invites you to soften,
To smile and to feel into the release.
Rhythm of release.
I put on the music and started to sway,
To shout out the trauma hidden away.
Like the wind and the storm I started to shake and connect deep into my body for the earthquake shake.
Body whispers emerged as I hear deprivation of family,
Love surge.
It was deep in my body held too tight and it crippled my joy and dimmed my soul's light.
Soul vision came through as I stepped away,
Broke free of false truths that sat hidden away.
Through soul fusion I released all the pain as I breathed into love,
A new rhythm came.
We started to flow,
This rhythm and me,
Until I came home to who I was meant to be.
Just because a person can't meet your needs,
Let go of that meaning and set yourself free.
When you open your heart,
There you will see the right people love you,
So let it just be.
Take a breath and I invite you now to put on your music.
Music that brings you joy,
Music that lets your body move in a way that maybe it's never moved before.
Let the music move through your body however it wants and remember to smile and release control.
All emotions are welcome and you may feel awkward,
You may feel joy,
But let's give those worries a little diggle and give yourself this joy in this dance.
And after the dance,
Once you've caught your breath,
Notice what did you release?
What soul truths are hidden away?
Let this be your dance to freedom,
To reclaim yourself for the forgotten and lost parts.
Maybe breathe into peace and harmony.
