Welcome to the chakra program meditation.
Let's begin.
We're moving our attention first of all to the base chakra or the root chakra.
It is the first chakra and is located at the base of the spine.
It is the root of your being and establishes the deepest connections with your physical body,
Your environment and with the earth.
The root chakra is the most instinctual of all chakras.
It is your survival center.
Your fight-and-flight response is initiated from this chakra.
This is your primal animal nature.
The energy of the root or base chakra allows us to harness courage,
Resourcefulness and will to live during trying times.
It connects us with spiritual energies of our ancestors,
Their challenges and their triumphs.
Since the base chakra carries our ancestral memories,
Basically everyone experiences challenges or blockages within this chakra.
War,
Famine,
Natural disasters and any events that threaten our basic survival are all recorded within energies of the first chakra.
These memories are imprinted in the subtle body and are passed down from generation to generation,
Creating unconscious generational patterns.
It is our work to take responsibility for our lives and bring to light that which is unconscious.
All of the seven chakras are important and interconnected with each other.
Usually balancing one chakra will create change in another chakra.
It is important though to balance the root chakra first before we proceed to others or we will lack a stability and groundedness necessary for true transformation and personal growth.
We cannot grow and change unless we feel safe and secure.
Imagine now at the base of your spine,
On the base chakra,
The root chakra,
The glowing color of red,
The color red.
You may see it as a spiraling whirling wheel of red or even a flame.
But imagining,
Visualizing the color red cleansing,
Activating,
Healing the base chakra.
Feeling yourself grounded and connected safely to the earth,
Sourcing your security and safety from the center of the earth.
You may like to imagine that your body is a strong standing tree.
Your body is the trunk and down through the center of your feet,
The very soles of each of your feet,
The roots of your tree growing down deep into the earth's crust.
Feeling yourself grounded and connected to the earth,
Safe,
Strong and secure.
Taking some nice deep breaths into the base chakra.
Breathing in the color red.
Breathing in the power,
The strength and exhaling,
Relaxing.
Once again breathing in the color red,
Right down to the base of the spine,
Exhaling and relaxing.
Moving your attention up now to the sacral chakra.
It is your passion and pleasure center and it is located in the pelvic area.
While the root chakra is satisfied with survival,
The second chakra seeks pleasure and enjoyment.
The gift of this chakra is experiencing our lives through feelings and sensations.
The second chakra is the center of feeling,
Emotion,
Pleasure,
Sensuality,
Intimacy and connection.
The energy of this chakra allows you to let go,
To move and to feel change and transformation occurring within your body.
It allows you to experience this moment as it is,
In its own fullness.
The main challenge for the second chakra is the conditioning of our society.
We live in a society where feelings are not valued,
Where passion and emotional reactions are being frowned upon.
We are taught not to lose control and we get disconnected from our bodies and our feelings.
And as if that was not enough,
We also experience the wounds of our collective cultural struggles over many sexual issues of our society.
On one hand sexuality is magnified and glorified and on the other hand it's rejected.
This results in either blocked or excessive sacral chakra issues.
No wonder we have so many issues with our passion center,
The wellspring of our feelings,
Enjoyment and sensuality.
Do you love your body?
Do you enjoy feeling your body?
When was the last time you walked barefoot on the grass and felt the sensation of ground underneath your feet?
The sacral chakra is also your center of creativity.
Passion is the fuel of creative energy.
Everything you create,
A poem,
A drawing or even a website originates from the energy of the second chakra.
It is also where your fertility originates.
After all conceiving a child is a creative process.
A person with an open sacral chakra is passionate,
Present in his or her body,
Sensual,
Creative and connected to his and her feelings.
A person with an open sacral chakra is passionate,
Present in her or his body,
Sensual,
Creative and connected to his or her feelings.
For this process let's imagine a glowing orange ball of light,
As orange as the piece of fruit,
A glowing orange light at your sacral chakra,
Which is about one inch beneath your navel.
It is the center of your reproduction organs,
Your stomach.
Visualizing the color orange,
A wheel swirling,
Twirling orange,
Bright orange.
Breathing the color orange into that wheel,
Seeing it like a spinning wheel or a vortex.
We're breathing in orange,
Deeply into the belly and relaxing on the exhale.
Breathing in the color orange into the belly and relaxing on the exhale.
Activating,
Energizing,
Charging the power center of the sacral chakra.
We move our attention upwards now,
Up to the third chakra,
The solar plexus chakra,
The center of willpower.
While the sacral chakra seeks pleasure and enjoyment,
The third chakra is all about the perception of who you are.
The gift of this chakra is sensing your personal power,
Being confident,
Responsible and reliable.
The third chakra is the center of your self-esteem,
Your willpower,
Self-discipline,
As well as the warmth of your personality.
The energy of this chakra allows you to transform inertia into action and movement.
It allows you to meet challenges and move forward into life.
The main challenge for the third chakra is to use your personal power in a balanced manner.
What does that mean?
It means consciously harnessing the energy of the solar plexus chakra.
It means being proactive rather than reactive or inactive.
Beings with excessive third chakra energy react to life circumstances.
They have emotional outbursts and are often stressed out.
Beings with blocked or deficient third chakras are passive and inactive,
Allowing life to pass by while they do nothing.
Strong third chakra reflects the ability to move forward in life with confidence and power.
It reflects the ability to make conscious choices,
To choose and to act.
The message of the third chakra is you have the power to choose.
You can choose to achieve your life purpose or you can live out your karma or past experiences.
What do you choose?
Do you choose love,
Light and healing?
Do you accept that you have the power to choose?
Do you feel a sense of freedom when you make a choice?
The third chakra is the center of your self-esteem.
Every time you judge or criticize yourself you deplete this chakra and weaken your willpower.
Self-love,
Self-acceptance and acknowledgement of your own worth are the building blocks of the third chakra.
A person with an open and balanced chakra values him or herself at work,
Is confident in his and her ability to do something well.
They love and accept themselves.
They are willing to express themselves in a powerful way.
They know that they have the freedom to choose to be themselves and direct their own life.
The color of the solar plexus is yellow.
Bright,
Shining,
Radiant yellow like the golden sun.
And the solar plexus sits between the heart and the sacral chakra.
You may like to put your hand,
Rest your hand gently on your solar plexus.
It is in the center of your lower ribs.
And you breathe in the beautiful glowing yellow into the solar plexus.
Visualizing,
Imagining a vortex spinning,
A wheel turning,
Activating a beautiful bright shining gold yellow.
Breathing that beautiful golden light in and relaxing on your exhale.
And now we're moving our attention up to the heart chakra.
The wellspring of love,
Of warmth,
Compassion,
Forgiveness and joy is located in the center of the chest at the heart level.
The heart moves love through your life.
It is the center of your deep bonds with other beings,
Your sense of caring and compassion,
Your feelings of self-love,
Altruism,
Generosity,
Kindness and respect.
The heart chakra is an integrating and unifying chakra,
Bringing to wholeness as such.
It is your healing center.
Indeed most spiritual traditions recognize love as the ultimate healing force.
The energy of the heart chakra allows us to recognize that we are part of something larger.
That we are interconnected within an intricate web of relationships extending through life and out into the universe.
The heart chakra allows us to recognize and get in touch with the sacred and fundamental truth that runs through all of life and connects everything together in sacred union.
The way of the heart,
The pathway of the heart is living your life from this energy center of love.
It means living your life with loving kindness and compassion towards others.
It means that your heart is open to others and you inspire kindness and compassion in others.
You create a safe and supportive environment.
Others can feel your love and warmth.
They feel loved and accepted unconditionally.
People feel at peace around you as there is no judgment coming from you.
When the heart center is open and energy is flowing freely,
You are not only loving to others,
You are also loving yourself.
You know when you need to say no and when you need care and self-nurturing.
All of the seven chakras are important and while I cannot say that the heart chakra is the most important,
I do want to say that it is very important.
Most of the world's spiritual traditions recognize love as the unifying force,
The energy that is the most fundamental part of the universe and of ourselves.
To open to this love is to reach the deepest places and connect with our true essence,
Our spirit and our soul.
And for this visualization we're imagining the color green or pink at our heart center.
Beautiful green,
Nature's green or a soft gentle pink at the heart center.
Once again seeing it as a whirling,
Twirling vortex of light or a wheel.
See it spinning so fast,
Activating all of that loving presence,
Opening,
Expanding,
Radiating that love out to all of humanity.
Breathing in that beautiful pink breath or green breath,
Breathing the color in,
Drawing it into the heart center and relaxing on your exhale.
Once again breathing in the color of your choice,
Heart expanding,
Bursting open as you breathe in and relaxing on your exhale.
One more time,
Breathing in the color of your choice into the heart center,
Watching the heart expand,
Activating,
Anchoring the beautiful light,
The cleansing light,
Relaxing on your exhale.
And now we're moving our attention up to our throat chakra,
The fifth chakra.
And it is the first of the higher or spiritual chakras on the chakra ladder.
This chakra is located in the region of the neck and shoulders and its color is blue,
Sky blue.
The gift of this chakra is accepting your originality,
Expressing your authentic voice and speaking your truth.
The energy of this chakra allows you to seek knowledge that is true beyond limitations of time and space,
Beyond cultural and family conditioning.
The main challenge for the fifth chakra is doubt and negative thinking.
When you gain and verify your knowledge through meditation and direct experience,
Then doubt and negativity are removed.
The way of the throat chakra is the way of inspired creativity,
Seeking and sharing of the truth.
It is the way of standing up for what you believe,
Saying no when you need to and being open and honest in what you say.
Do you dare to be creative?
Do you dare to open up to a life full of infinite possibilities?
The fifth chakra is linked directly to your personal integrity and a sense of honor.
As a communication center,
It not only allows you to express who you are and what you stand for,
But also allows you to listen deeply to another.
A person with an open throat chakra is a good listener.
They enable another person to have the experience of being heard,
One of the most profound human needs.
For the next visualization,
Moving your attention to the throat chakra,
Visualizing the color blue,
Imagining the light,
Blue light,
A ball of light,
A blue vortex spinning like a wheel,
Activating the throat chakra.
Breathing in the color blue into the throat chakra,
Filling the throat with the beautiful blue and relaxing on your exhale.
Once again,
Breathing in the color of blue into the throat and relaxing on your exhale.
And now we're moving our attention up to the third eye chakra,
The point between the eyebrows,
The center of the forehead,
The third eye chakra that transcends time.
The gift of this chakra is seeing both the inner and outer worlds.
The energy of this chakra allows us to experience clear thought as well as gifts of spiritual contemplation and self-reflection.
Through the gift of seeing we can internalize the outer world and with symbolic language we can externalize the inner world.
The energy of the third eye chakra allows us to access our inner guidance that comes from the depths of our being.
It allows us to cut through illusion and to access deeper truths,
To see beyond the mind and beyond the worlds.
The way of the third eye is seeing everything as it is from a point of the witness,
The observer,
Or from simply being mindful moment by moment.
It means examining self-limiting ideas and developing wisdom that comes from a perspective that transcends the duality of good or bad,
Black or white.
It means seeing and helping others to see the deeper meanings of the situations in their lives.
It is the center of loving awareness.
The sixth chakra is holistic in nature.
When this chakra is fully activated both hemispheres of the brain function in synchrony.
The right hemisphere's creativity is integrated and balanced with the left hemisphere's logic and analytical thinking.
The third eye is not only the seat of wisdom but also the seat of conscience.
This is where you do not only see what's going on but you also know what it means.
This is where your sense of justice and your ethics originate.
When your third eye is open you not only see but you understand.
We move our attention now to that point at the center of the forehead,
Visualizing a dark,
Dark blue.
For some you may see this dark,
Dark indigo blue or maybe you see light.
Either way,
Visualizing whatever color,
Indigo blue,
Dark blue or a pinprick of golden light and see that light,
That vortex spinning,
A wheel turning at the center of the forehead.
You may see it moving and spiraling fast or slow.
And once again you breathe in as you look up into that center of your forehead and breathe in.
Not only are you activating your third eye chakra but you are also activating the powerful pineal gland.
Breathing in,
Gaze upwards to the center of your forehead,
Activating the third eye chakra.
Exhaling and relaxing.
And once again breathing in the color of your choice,
Dark blue or light.
Your attention focused upwards to the center of your forehead.
Breathing in,
Witnessing the spiral vortex and relaxing on the exhale.
And now we move our attention up to the top of the head,
The crown chakra,
Which is the seventh chakra.
It is at the top of the chakra ladder which starts from the root chakra that grounds us to earth,
Progresses upwards which connects us with the universe and the divine source of creation.
It is located at the very top of the head.
The gift of this chakra is experiencing unity and the selfless realization that everything is connected at a fundamental level.
The energy of this chakra allows us to experience mystical oneness with everyone and everything in nature.
There is no intellectual knowing at the level of the crown chakra but there is serenity,
Joy and deep peace about life.
It is here where you have a sense of knowing that there is a deeper meaning of life and that there is an order that underlies all of existence.
The way of the crown chakra is the way of going beyond the limits of the mind.
It is the way of transcending the ego and knowing that all of creation is interconnected at a fundamental level.
A level that some call the Akasha or zero-point field or just the field.
This is the fundamental level of connection.
According to Tantric philosophy the seventh chakra is both a receiver and giver of energy and consciousness.
It receives energy to sustain life and to bring back the personal energy to unite with the collective pool of consciousness.
It is the meeting point between the finite body and ego and the infinite universe and soul.
It is the place where time and timelessness intersect and where death and eternal life meet.
The thousand petal chakra embraces an attitude of gratitude for one's life.
When we realize that everything is interconnected and that we are part of the larger scheme of life we begin to live with gratitude,
Faith and trust rather than filled with fear and anxiety.
We are guided by the higher power and feel divinity from within and from without.
The challenge of this chakra is to liberate the spirit,
To open to the mystery and the divine and at the same time stay firmly rooted deep in the ground.
And as we move our attention to the top of the head to the crown chakra we are visualizing the color violet or clear shimmering pristine light.
Visualizing a vortex swirling and drawing in the light,
Drawing it down into the crown chakra,
Spinning,
Activating,
Clearing the crown chakra,
Allowing the light of the divine,
Drawing that light in,
Breathing it in to the crown of your head.
Opening and receiving that beautiful downpouring of light.
Continuing to breathe in the light and relaxing on the exhale.
Once again breathing in to the crown chakra,
Representing our ability to feel connected,
Top of the head,
Opening to receive our inner and outer beauty and our connection with spirit,
Pure bliss.
Once again now moving down to the third eye chakra,
Between the eyes,
The center of the forehead.
Intuition,
Imagination,
Wisdom,
The color indigo,
The ability to make clear decisions.
Continuing to draw that powerful source of energy down into the throat chakra with our ability to communicate from a voice of love and wisdom,
Self-expression,
Feelings and truth,
The color blue.
Drawing the power of the energy down to the heart chakra,
The center of the chest,
Love,
Joy,
Inner peace,
Compassion and forgiveness,
Our ability to love deeply,
Completely.
Down into the solar plexus,
The color yellow,
The ability to be confident and in control of our lives,
The strength of self-worth,
Of confidence and self-esteem.
Continuing to open,
Breathe in,
Draw that beautiful light from the power above down into the sacral chakra,
The color orange,
Our connection and ability to accept others and new experiences,
A sense of abundance,
Well-being,
Pleasure and sexuality.
Drawing it down completely into the base chakra,
The base of the spine,
Representing our foundation and feeling of being connected and grounded to the earth.
Here where we survive and it's safe,
We have financial independence,
Money and food,
Our safety,
Our abundance.
Noticing your connection now from the center of the earth,
Connected to your base chakra,
Spiraling back up through again,
Red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Green.
Drawing the light from above,
Breathing in the light,
Drawing on the power of sacred unity,
Connection with the divine,
With all of life,
The soul's purpose upon earth,
To open to receive that love,
To heal our separation from the source of divinity and to now share that love and wisdom with all on our pathway.
All chakras spinning,
Bright and colorful,
Shimmering and cleansed.
I am whole,
I am healed,
I am love.
I am whole,
I am healed.
