This meditation is designed to support you as you navigate through uncertainty,
Whether in your career,
Health,
Relationships,
Endings,
Or beginnings.
Uncertainty can feel like we're getting pulled into a giant storm,
Where we feel we have no control or sense of safety.
This meditation offers a way to practice crafting safety and space at the calm,
Quiet center,
Reclaiming your inner power.
Simply start by drawing your awareness to this moment,
And remember,
We are not machines.
We are imperfect in our own ways.
We are meant to be imperfect,
And it's in this allowing of our imperfections that we find our shared humanity.
To come back into our power,
We must recenter and release control.
Begin with awareness of your breath.
Soften the pull of control,
And simply notice the gentle rhythm of your breath.
If you find yourself holding your breath,
Soften,
Even if only softening one percent.
Breathe.
Let go of the holding,
The tension.
Freedom lives in the opening,
The softening,
The letting go.
When facing your uncertainty,
It may feel like you're getting pulled towards a massive storm of too many swirling thoughts and emotions tumbling inside you.
In this moment,
Can you give yourself permission to not know the answers,
And release tension in your belly,
Your heart,
Your throat,
Or anywhere that uncertainty is dwelling?
Breathing,
And creating just a bit more space and peace.
Imagine now this storm of uncertainty that you're facing.
Perhaps you can see it as clouds that are rolling in,
Wind that's blowing.
And as you face this storm,
Imagine standing or sitting down right there,
And closing your eyes,
And call to you a deep sense of presence that not only creates a luminous protective shield all around you,
But the deep presence also anchors miles below the earth's surface into the rich soil and the cool,
Solid rock.
As you drop awareness deep into the earth,
Imagine that you become a strong and centered still point.
You embody it,
Grounded,
Safe,
Still,
Unshakable,
Still following your breath.
If you still feel uncertainty within you,
Begin to notice that the uncertainty is being drawn out,
Kind of magnetically attracted toward the storm that's in front of you.
Allow the uncertainty to gently flow out of you like a mist,
Joining the storm.
More and more uncertainty leaves your body,
And joins the storm as you remain shielded and grounded,
Grounded into the earth through deep presence,
Until every last bit of uncertainty has left and joined the storm.
You begin to feel a shift now that uncertainty has left you and joined the storm.
Notice that perhaps you can breathe more easily,
Maybe there's more softness.
Maybe you begin to feel more into yourself again,
Noticing yourself as being separate from the uncertainty,
Separate from the storm.
You discover that there's space between you and the uncertainty.
You can observe it around you and clearly distinguish that the uncertainty storm is separate from you,
It's not you,
It's not who you are.
For a few breaths,
Breathe into this awareness,
Knowing that you are separate from the storm.
Feel yourself so deeply grounded that the uncertainty storm can swirl around but doesn't touch you.
Feel your inner strength rising little by little with every breath.
You are safe in the calm,
Ever-expanding circle of peace and stillness at the center.
You are absolutely safe here.
With steady,
Gentle breath,
You begin to notice that the calm,
Still center of this storm begins to expand further and further away from you,
Allowing more and more space all around you,
More and more space for you to simply be.
As this space grows,
You realize that you have become embodied in self,
And you have become an observer.
You are awake and aware,
Safe and empowered.
Take a moment to allow yourself to observe.
While deeply present as an observer,
What do you notice inside yourself?
While deeply present as an observer,
What do you notice about the storm when you are in that space,
Being present and grounded?
Does it swirl,
But at a distance?
Does it dissipate and calm and fall away?
Does it transform?
Continuing to feel grounded,
Safe,
And present,
Begin to shift your awareness to your inner wise self.
I'll offer a few questions with some pause,
And please take longer if you need to.
Imagine that with all this space,
Stillness,
And safety,
You have a clear channel of communication to your inner wise self.
With easy breath,
Simply plug into that channel,
And ask your wise self a few questions,
Allowing any words,
Symbols,
Sensations,
Sounds to arrive as guidance.
The first question is what do I need to know today?
What is my next step or my next couple steps?
What do I need to release to allow progress?
What is essential to my well-being as I move through this time?
What else do I need to know?
Take a moment to ask any other question you might have,
And again,
Take as much time as you need.
Once you feel complete,
Take a moment to refocus on your deep presence,
Grounded yet aware.
Start to expand your awareness,
Noticing how you feel inside your body,
Mind,
Energy.
Noticing how you feel in space,
In the room,
Sitting or laying down,
Noticing how the room feels,
Slowly using breath to bring you back to this moment in time and space,
Knowing that you can bring deep presence with you.
You can remain grounded,
Shielded,
And separate from uncertainty.
You can choose to remain an observer of the storm.
You can choose to stay connected to your wise self.
You can choose to stay in your calm,
Quiet power.
Breathe,
And when you're ready,
Slowly reopen your eyes and step into the next part of your day in a new way.
You can do this.
