Welcome,

Dear one,

To this guided practice to relax,

Release stress and bring your awareness back to the present.

First I want to invite you to make yourself comfortable,

Either sitting or lying down.

And start by focusing on your breath.

Take a deep inhale in your tummy.

And again.

Often,

When we experience stress,

Our minds are drawn away from the present moment.

As human beings,

We tend to spend a lot of time in our minds,

Projecting into the future,

Or thinking about the past.

Asking ourselves what if,

Playing out scenarios that could happen,

Wishing we did something different,

Or that we just wanted to do something we did not.

All those kinds of thoughts causes us to be away from the present moment,

Be away from the now.

So I want to invite you to become aware where your attention is either focused on the future,

Projecting,

Or focused on the past.

And gently bring your attention back to the present moment.

Let yourself fall into the now.

Be carried.

Be carried by the present moment.

You don't have to do anything.

All the tension and stress that you may feel,

You can just let it soften.

Come back to the now.

Be aware of your body,

And let that soften too.

I want to give you a gentle reminder that you are not your thoughts,

That you are not your pasts,

That you are not your future.

You are awareness.

And when you realize you are awareness,

Then there is no need to be something else.

There is no need to stress.

There is no need to be in the future.

And if you haven't closed your eyes yet,

You may do so and soften even more.

Let the music fill your body.

Feel it washing away all that non-serving thoughts.

You may notice you become more and more relaxed.

You are okay,

Dear one.

You are okay.

There is nothing you need to do.

Know where you need to be.

You are just perfect,

Right as you are in this moment.

And if you notice your thoughts drifting away,

Gently bring your awareness back to the present.

You are safe,

Dear one.

You are safe.

There is no need for you to stress.

You can totally fade into the moment.

Let yourself drift into the present.

Take a deep breath.

Slowly come back to the space you are sitting in.

Slowly open your eyes.

Let the light come in.

Whatever the day has in store for you,

You can always remember that you can tap into the now,

To the present moment.
