This is a morning meditation to help you envision your day and manage your energy throughout for the best possible day.
Find a comfortable position either seated or lying down.
Any position that allows you to breathe freely and comfortably.
Simply invite the eyelids to close,
The mind to settle and the body to relax.
Take a big breath in through the nose,
Open the mouth and let it go.
Imagine to observe the rise and fall of your chest and belly as your breathing slows.
Allow any residual tension or worries to melt away and bring your awareness to your heart center.
Staying centered in your heart,
Begin to set an intention for how you want your day to unfold and how you want to maximize your energy and time as you engage with your work,
With people and with any other tasks.
Start to experience how you want to feel throughout your day.
What do you need to do to take very good care of yourself?
Perhaps it's drinking lots of water,
Eating nutritious foods,
Taking time to exercise or stretch,
Keeping yourself calm when things start to get tense.
Most of all,
See yourself returning to the power of your breath,
Keeping your breath open and relaxed.
Start to see any areas of your day where you might feel challenged.
This could be with deadlines,
Starting new projects,
Meetings,
People or events in your personal life.
Start to set an intention that it's going to be a good,
Positive day,
One in which you stay centered,
Contained in your own energy,
Aligned with your truth.
Return to your inner guidance when you start pressuring or demanding from yourself.
Stay in a positive and loving place with yourself no matter what.
Ask yourself to be aware of where or when you might be overextending,
Where you might need to ask for help or give yourself permission to ask for what it is that you want.
Ask from yourself,
Ask from others and ask from the universe.
Begin to see yourself filling with light,
Any color that makes you feel vibrant and alive.
See this light fill you and envelop you.
And then send a wave of this light ahead of you into your day,
To all of your interactions,
Your responsibilities,
To your loved ones and to any people you might find challenging.
Send them all a positive wave of light and energy.
See yourself staying centered throughout your day,
Always returning to your center when you start to lose balance.
Promise yourself that today will be a day where you will move into greater acceptance of yourself.
Begin giving yourself little moments to pause throughout your day,
Recharging with moments of conscious breathing,
Where you slow down your breath and fill your lungs and whole body with oxygen.
See yourself taking time between your work mode and your rest mode at the end of the day,
Doing things that disconnect you from the world and connect you back to your inner self,
Even if it's only for a few moments.
Then promise yourself that you will go to sleep with a sense of gratitude,
Giving thanks for yourself,
For your life,
For all of the things you did,
Appreciating yourself and those around you.
Know that you have all the resources that you need to make this a happy day.
When you feel ready,
Take a big breath in through the nose,
Open the mouth and sigh it out.
Begin to bring some gentle movement into fingers and toes.
Turn the head gently side to side and take a few rolls of the shoulders.
If you are lying down,
Roll onto the side of your choice and make your way back into a tall seat.
When you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Knowing that this is going to be a wonderful day that you have created for yourself.
