Find a comfortable seated position,
Your back gently supported and your hands resting on your lap.
Close your eyes and take a moment to center yourself.
As you begin this meditation set the intention to start the day with a heart full of gratitude and a mind open to positivity.
This is your time to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.
Start by bringing your awareness to your breath.
Inhale deeply through your nose allowing your chest and abdomen to expand.
Exhale slowly through your mouth releasing any tension or worries.
Feel your body becoming present and relaxed.
Scan your body from head to toe noticing any areas of tension.
With each exhale imagine that tension melting away leaving you feeling light and at ease.
Let this relaxation flow through your neck,
Shoulders,
Arms and down to your fingertips.
Enjoy the sensation of your body relaxing.
Now bring your mind to something you're genuinely grateful for.
It could be a simple pleasure,
A person in your life or a recent experience.
Feel the warmth of gratitude filling your heart.
Expand this feeling of gratitude.
Think of another thing you're grateful for.
Allow this sense of appreciation to grow within you radiating positivity and joy.
Shift your attention back to your breath.
Inhale positivity and gratitude and exhale any lingering negativity or doubt.
Each breath is a reminder that you are in control of your mindset.
Continue to observe your breathing for several minutes always thinking about the positivity that you're bringing in and the gratitude that you feel.
As you gently open your eyes take a moment to set your intentions for the day.
Continue to carry the feelings of gratitude and positivity with you as you go about your day.
