We Don't Need Motivation (Motivation 101)
by Reuben Lowe
We wait to feel ready before we start — and somehow "ready" never quite turns up. This session explains a counterintuitive idea from behavioural activation: motivation usually comes after the action, not before it, so many of us are waiting for it backwards. Learn why the smallest possible step is the way in, and how doing one tiny thing tends to bring the rest with it. This session is helpful for motivation, procrastination, low mood, values, and building momentum. Please note that this session is not a replacement for professional mental health care.
