At its heart is the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where travelers can explore a labyrinth of alleys filled with colorful stalls offering spices, textiles, and crafts. Key attractions include the imposing Koutoubia Mosque, the ornate Bahia Palace, and the lush Majorelle Garden. The lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square is the city's social epicenter, bustling with food stalls, musicians, and street performers, especially in the evening. Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of joining a week-long yoga retreat in Morocco organized by InSync and I can honestly say it exceeded all my expectations. The retreat was split into two parts: 3,5 days in a beautiful riad in the heart of Marrakech, followed by 3,5 days in a luxurious desert camp – and every moment was absolutely worth it. From the very beginning, I was impressed by how well-organized everything was. We received detailed information well in advance – from packing lists to daily schedules – and the team made everything as easy as possible for us. A shared airport shuttle to the hotel was arranged ahead of time, which really took the stress out of arriving. You could tell this wasn’t their first retreat, it all ran so smoothly and with great care. The daily rhythm was perfect: we started each day with a morning meditation and yoga session, followed by a shared breakfast. Then we had the day to ourselves – to explore the city, relax by the pool or simply enjoy some quiet time. In the evening, we came back together for another round of yoga and meditation, ending the day with a group dinner. There were also some special highlights like a beautiful fire ceremony on our last night in the desert. The food was mostly vegetarian, delicious and balanced. In the desert camp, we could choose from several dinner options – including meat for those who wanted it. What stood out to me was how thoughtfully allergies and intolerances were handled – anyone who informed the team in advance was fully taken care of, which I found incredibly attentive and professional. Another big plus: no hidden costs. The price covered everything that was part of the retreat, including accommodation, yoga, meditation, breakfast and dinner. If something wasn’t included (like the airport transfer), it was clearly communicated beforehand. No unexpected surprises and full transparency, which I deeply appreciated. And the atmosphere? Absolutely magical. We were a group of around 20 women – all kind, open and genuinely supportive. Our yoga teacher, Tina, was not only technically outstanding but also deeply present, kind and always there to support us. The retreat’s organizer, Andrea from InSync, had everything under control in the most calm and organized way. It felt like we were in the best hands. The accommodations were a dream. The riad in Marrakech was charming and clean – though some rooms showed a bit of age, depending on which one you were in. But the desert camp was pure luxury: beautiful interiors, private whirlpools and breathtaking views under the starry sky. It was like something out of a movie. And finally – the yoga itself: top-level quality. Whether you were a complete beginner or had years of experience, you were able to get the most out of it. Tina made sure everyone felt seen, supported and challenged in just the right way. Bottom line: This retreat was an investment in myself – and one that truly paid off. If you’re looking for a soulful, high-quality retreat in a warm, welcoming and beautifully curated setting, I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. You get so much in return for the price and the yoga is truly world-class.

An experience I will never forget. I was lucky enough to go on the Marrakesh yoga retreat with the lovely Andrea and Tina. I am someone who has rarely travelled and brand new to yoga. So this was a big step out of my comfort zone. The experience right from the beginning felt really informative so that I felt safe and assured. Everything flowed really beautifully allowing you to spend as much time with the other ladies on the retreat or time by yourself exploring. It was the perfect blend. There was loads of communication right from the beginning. Everything ran really smoothly, everything felt really informal and friendly and relaxed making the whole experience so enjoyable. For someone brand-new to yoga, Tina made me feel really safe and looked after. I loved the sessions so much. Everything from the travel, accommodations and food was really well thought through. The experience made me realise that I’m more capable than I think. And I got the chance to meet some exceptional wonderful people and have the best time. If you have ever been unsure about booking a yoga retreat with people that you don’t know, This is your sign to absolutely take the risk and book the experience. You won’t regret it.

I joined the Morocco Retreat in June 2024 with the wonderful Tina as our yoga teacher and it was amazing. When I booked it I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve known Insync from a Yoga & Clay event in Vienna and I already thought back then: A retreat in the desert of Morocco that’s organized by Insync can only be magical! And the retreat really turned out to be an all round magical experience. First of all, the Riad in Marrakech as well as the luxurious tents in the desert outside Marrakech were amazing! Waking up every morning to a breathtaking view in the desert, looking into the distance and feeling the stress and the noise in your brain go away, was something else and something I really needed! I am thinking back of the vibe at least once a day cause it was so special and so calming! As a mediocre yogi I thought i would just have fun and try a bit more yoga than usually. But it really shifted something in me. The way that Tina guided us through every pose and the input we got from her during the meditations, as well as her empathetic way of being with us and holding space for us - it really changed my life in a way and I don’t think I have felt this safe in a long while. I would really recommend this retreat to anybody - no matter what level of yoga practicioner! The group was very diverse and there was room for everybody - whether someone wanted a quiet experience by themselves or someone wanted a social summer holiday with lots of open hearted people. Also, the organization was really good, there was nothing to complain about! The hotel staff made sure everybody was happy at all times and they really tried to meet all our needs. Tina also helped us out with anything that was on our hearts and I really felt safe and taken care of. Was worth every cent and I would really recommend it to anyone :)
