Details

Welcome to the Edge of Estonia — where the road ends and the adventure begins. For 43 hours, leave the noise of everyday life behind and step into a completely different world. Hidden in the tiny fishing village of Vasknarva, where Lake Peipus meets the Narva River, this experience takes you far from crowds, routines, and the ordinary. This isn't your typical wellness retreat. It's a rare mix of wild adventure, authentic local traditions, human connection, and the simple joy of trying things you've never done before. Imagine endless frozen landscapes, the silence of winter, the warmth of a traditional sauna, and long conversations with people you've only just met. There's something magical about this place — life slows down, distractions disappear, and even the simplest moments become unforgettable. Our philosophy is simple: real experiences create real connections. No forced transformation, no rigid expectations. Just curiosity, adventure, nature, and the freedom to be fully present. We keep our groups small and personal, usually up to 10 guests, and let nature shape each journey. Every experience is different, because the weather, the lake, and the people make it their own. Come curious. Leave with stories. And perhaps a little different than when you arrived.

A unique accommodation located at the top of a dune. From the house, there is a spacious view of Estonia's longest sandy beach, stretching 32 kilometers. The beach house is an excellent meeting place for larger groups and families. The fully renovated vacation home, originating from the 1970s, offers sleeping accommodations for 16 people. With its special location atop the dune, it creates a captivating distance from everyday life, allowing you to immerse yourself in the moment and the surroundings. The beach house Cumulus is well-suited for gatherings, retreats, as well as team events and strategy days. The long sandy beach and stunning views inspire year-round. Stepping away from the work environment helps generate new creative ideas and provides a supportive atmosphere for strengthening bonds among friends, family, or teams. Regardless of the event's purpose, Lake Peipus always possesses its unique and mysterious charm that must be experienced on-site. We offer several types of accommodation depending on the group and availability — from cozy private rooms to simple local houses. Everything is comfortable and practical, giving you exactly what you need after a full winter day outside: warmth, a hot shower, a good bed, and a peaceful night’s sleep. Don’t expect a luxury resort. The luxury here is different — silence outside your window, fresh winter air, no crowds, and waking up in one of the most remote corners of Estonia. Our table is all about honest, hearty local food — fresh fish from Lake Peipus, locally sourced meat, homemade pickles, preserves, and simple dishes made for cold winter days. Schedule

The retreat begins with arrival and check-in at Vasknarva, followed by welcome drinks, local snacks, and an introduction to the village and Lake Peipus. Guests will enjoy a homemade welcome dinner before unwinding with a traditional Estonian sauna experience. The second day begins with a hearty breakfast before heading out onto the frozen Lake Peipus for an exciting snowmobile and sleigh ride. Participants will experience traditional ice fishing with local fishermen, help pull fishing nets from beneath the ice, and enjoy a warm lunch surrounded by the winter landscape. The afternoon includes building an ice camp and experiencing a unique sauna on the frozen lake, followed by free time, a homemade dinner featuring local ingredients, and a relaxed evening of drinks, fireside conversations, and storytelling. On the final day, guests will enjoy a leisurely breakfast, explore Vasknarva village and its natural surroundings, and learn more about local traditions before gathering for a closing lunch and departure. Testimonials

info

“One of those experiences you simply can’t recreate in a hotel. Frozen lake, fishing, sauna, incredible food — and for a couple of days, you completely forget the outside world.”

Martin Villig, Estonia

“I came expecting a fun winter adventure and left with much more. There’s something special about the simplicity of this place — the ice, the fire, the people, and doing things you’ve never done before.”

Oleg Shardin, Netherlands

“Wild, authentic and completely different from anything I’ve done before. Pulling nets from under the ice and then sitting in a hot sauna in the middle of the frozen lake is something I’ll remember for a very long time.”
