Alex — Co-founder of Paadivennad & Local Host Alex is the co-founder of Paadivennad and the person most deeply connected to everyday life in Vasknarva. Fishing, checking nets, preparing the boats and snowmobiles, heating the sauna, cooking, and dealing with whatever nature decides to bring that day are not activities created for guests — they are part of his real life here. Together with Akim, Alex created Paadivennad as a way to preserve and share the fishing culture and lifestyle of Lake Peipus. During the retreat, he is the person who makes things happen on the ground — taking guests onto the lake, sharing local traditions, preparing food and sauna, and opening the door into a side of Estonia very few visitors normally get to experience. Alex doesn’t come from a traditional retreat or wellness lineage. His expertise is practical, local, and lived — and that authenticity is exactly why he is one of the people leading this experience.
