Details

Train as a yoga teacher in a setting that mirrors the work itself: spacious, grounded, and held with care. This 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified program weaves classical yoga foundations with trauma-informed pedagogy, somatic awareness, and the ethics of practice. Over 21 nights at Mystical Yoga Farm on Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, you'll move through a curriculum that honors both your nervous system and your growth as a teacher. Plant-based meals prepared with organic ingredients, a daily rhythm that includes rest, and a small cohort accepted by application — because this work asks for presence, not performance. March 1–22, 2027.

Meals

Meals provided

Breakfast · Lunch · Dinner

Diets catered

All meals are plant-based and prepared by the on-site kitchen at Mystical Yoga Farm, using organic ingredients where possible, much of it sourced from the farm gardens. Three meals are served daily, with a silent morning coffee break to ease into the day. We accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free needs with advance notice. Filtered drinking water and herbal teas are available throughout the day.

Schedule

A typical training day flows in three movements: morning practice, midday study, and evening integration. Mornings begin with a silent coffee break, followed by pranayama, meditation, and a full asana practice. Midday brings lectures on philosophy, anatomy, the ethics of teaching, and trauma-informed methodology, with practicum time built in. Afternoons hold space for rest, journaling, lake swims, or one-on-one feedback with teachers. Evenings close with a restorative practice, satsang, or community dinner. One full rest day each week supports integration — because the nervous system needs to absorb what the mind has learned.

Testimonials

info

Zach and Carrie have built a dream of theirs together and invite everyone to come alongside! I've worked firsthand alongside them and been a participant in their programming many times and am incredibly impressed by what Bigger Life Adventures has become and will yet become. The story, motivation and willingness of Bigger Life Adventures to help others and facilitate authentic and real connection is deeply rooted in their own personal journeys, and every aspect of an adventure with them is treated with intentionality, compassion and expertise!

Carrie holds one of the most authentic and safest spaces that I've come across in my journey with yoga. Every speech, action, and interaction with Carrie is considerate in such a way that you can see she was born to lead others in this position as teacher. She is honest and open in sharing her own journey and personal challenges; there is no me or you in Carrie's teaching, it's always us. It's admirable to see that she learns just as much from her students and takes a genuine interest in them. Always adapting and fine tuning her role, inspiring others along the way. I'm grateful to have been inspired by Carrie too.
