Rest Sister.
This is a short rest practice for receiving the rested life you crave.
Begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either seated,
Reclining,
Or laying down.
You may wish to close your eyes,
And I invite you to place your palms up.
Placing your palms up,
Sense or imagine yourself receiving the rested life of your dreams.
Take a moment to take a deep breath as you receive through your palms.
Take a slow,
Deep inhale,
Belly and chest rising,
And exhale slowly,
Opening your mouth,
Maybe making a small sigh.
And again,
Inhale deeply,
And exhale slowly with a sigh or any sound.
And now on three,
Invite the shoulders to drop down.
On two,
Soften the limbs.
On one,
Drop into a deeper awareness of your body.
Sense or imagine receiving the rested life of your dreams,
And feel it throughout your whole body.
Notice any sensations you're feeling without judgment or resistance.
If judgment or resistance comes,
Say,
Hello,
I see you,
And then go back to sensing yourself receiving the rested life you crave.
Feel it with all your senses,
Sight,
Sound,
Smell.
What does it feel like to receive the rested life you crave?
Take another deep breath,
And on your exhale,
Slowly open your eyes and come back.
