Hello dear traveler and welcome.
To Karua Forest in Nairobi.
I'm really happy to be here with you today.
I'm surrounded.
By these ancient trees.
And as the world comes into stillness.
But also I want to take a few moments.
To be in stillness here as well.
Join me as you hear the fourth sound.
If you would prefer just to listen to my voice,
You can close your eyes otherwise.
Just join me here and I might close my eyes.
Take a comfortable seat wherever you are.
If you're outside,
Maybe feel the ground.
Let's find some stillness here,
Shall we?
Start to breathe in this oxygen.
Let the trees give us freedom every single day with an inhale.
And looking up to the sun.
And down again.
Exhale.
Let's do that again.
Inhale slowly.
Exhale Now as you find stillness you might hear sounds of the city still going on because we are in a forest in the middle of a capital city.
Is hard again.
And exhale.
And today's meditation is about being connected to the earth.
And open to the sky and to opportunities.
Just like these trees there.
With your eyes closed,
Settling in.
Hearing a little dog bark as it runs through the forest.
You and finding stillness in this space.
Close your eyes,
Perhaps feel the ground beneath you.
You can only hear them now.
Smell the eucalyptus,
Smell whatever nature is giving us,
The scent of nature,
And exhale.
And if your eyes are closed.
Imagine that as you see tomorrow.
You can feel it.
Rooting,
You can feel connection just like a tree is rooted to the ground.
Rooted and held in firmness and held by the soil and all the nutrients held by the earth.
Feel that you too are a root vessel.
Sense that connection to the ground.
Feel grounded,
Feel well-centered.
With that routine.
Has the roots come off?
And help the trunk and connect to the trunk.
Feel in your center a strength in your core.
The strength that holds between the ground rootedness and the sky.
The ability to look up,
To flight,
To openness.
It is your core,
Your values,
Your inner being.
That hold you.
And make you who you are.
And over the years just like that.
A trunk has the stories of history.
So too does your core,
Does your inner being have that story of history of you.
If your eyes are still closed,
Feel the momentum.
Taking a breath into my core.
Here it is.
We'll come up to the top perhaps and look up.
And as I look up,
I see an eagle fly by.
And just like a tree has all these leaves.
That look up towards abundance,
Towards air,
Towards openness.
So,
Too.
Do you look up to opportunity?
So take that breath in.
We'll be okay.
Maybe raise your arms if that feels good.
Stretch out.
Take the opportunities,
Feel the air in your hands.
Feel the connection,
Nature.
And if you are the nature of space.
I wish you could feel as I feel almost a buzz in my hands from being surrounded by these majestic trees that give us food and shade.
And nourishment.
And most importantly,
Air.
Air for us to breathe.
Prepare for us to live.
Let's spend a few moments in this space just listening to the sounds of nature,
Perhaps to the sounds of the trees whistling and swaying.
As we find stillness.
And we end these moments of stillness.
Being reminded that we are part of this ecosystem.
And that it was always meant to be like this.
Humanity is part of nature.
Protected and surrounded by trees.
Living in the gratefulness.
Of the outdoors.
Listening to the rustlings.
Good song.
This is stillness.
And as we feel once again rooted to the ground and free.
Strong in our core like a trunk and open.
To the world open to opportunities like the leaves and the tops of trees.
Just a reminder.
That the Earth has our back.
That the Earth is holding us.
Thank you so much for joining me in this session.
A few moments of stillness.
Here with the trees in Carnarvle Forest in Nairobi.
Have a great day.
And may this healing occur.
Groundedness support.
And openness stay with you for today.
And perhaps for a long time to come.
Thank you so much for joining me.
