Hello,
Little explorer!
On the African savannah,
We say jambo,
And it means hello,
Too.
I'm so glad that you join me here today,
With the little lion,
As we get ready to go to sleep.
My name is Rashma.
Are you already in your bed?
If not,
Find a cozy place to lie down.
Get a blanket and cover yourself.
You are now warm,
Safe,
And ready to go on a trip,
On a safari,
To dreamland with me.
Are you ready?
I'm excited!
As you snuggle up under your blanket,
Close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in,
And breathe out gently.
That makes me feel relaxed.
What about you?
Shall we do that again?
Let's take a slow breath in,
And breathe out gently.
With your eyes still closed,
Imagine that you're in a soft,
Grassy savannah,
On safari in Africa.
As it's almost sunset,
The evening sky is so beautiful in its orange color.
Can you hear the birds singing to each other?
They're telling each other,
Let's go home to our nests.
It's almost time to sleep.
You're standing in the savannah,
Under a big acacia tree.
You're so close to this tree that you could maybe even hug it.
And you're looking up to the birds,
Settling in their nests,
Ready to go to sleep.
As you're still standing there,
A little lion cub comes and stands beside you.
His big blue eyes look into yours.
He's so calm and friendly.
Maybe he even makes a playful sound.
Slowly,
He sits down,
And he lies down.
Can you hear his breaths as he's getting sleepy?
You too can breathe like a lion.
In,
Slowly take a breath in,
And out.
Maybe you're making a sound like a lion when you breathe out.
In slowly,
And out.
Your eyes are still closed.
You're breathing.
And it almost feels like you're falling asleep next to this little lion.
You are safe here,
Safe with little lion.
As the lion grows sleepy,
So do you.
Your body feels soft and cuddled up and warm.
Your eyes feel heavy.
And they might close even tighter.
You're falling asleep.
Feel the warmth of little lion next to you,
As you drift off into dreamland.
Have a restful night.
Good night,
Little explorer.
