Good evening.
To your fellow travellers.
And welcome to Safari in Soul.
My name is Reshma Khan and today I am here in this evening,
In this night,
On the African savannah,
In the great Maasai Mara.
One of the world's seven wonders.
It is almost 10 p.
M.
And as the human world comes to a rest,
You can hear behind me.
Nature waking up.
The crickets sounding,
The cacophony of sounds.
You might hear a lion or a hyena in the distance.
I just wanted to spend a few minutes in this space.
Calming down.
Gently tuning in to the sounds of nature.
Grounding ourselves for the night.
So take a comfortable seat if you can.
With your right hand over your heart and left hand to your belly.
Check-in How are you feeling?
Is your heart racing?
Are you feeling a fatigue in your body from a long day?
Just do a quick scan to check in on your body.
Start to deepen your breaths.
Perhaps let's do an inhale for one.
To Three.
For holding at the top for a bit.
And exhale for four,
Three.
Cool.
One doing that again inhaling for one two,
3.
.
.
Or hold at the top.
And exhale for four Mm.
Too.
Horny Taking another deep breath in.
Holding it and exhale gently.
You can choose to put your palms down back on your knees if you're seated.
Tune into the sounds of the African Savannah.
Do you hear the rhythm of the crickets and the cicadas?
Never stopping but continuing.
In a set rhythm.
Let's stay here for a few seconds to silently listen in.
And as you tune in to the frequencies of these sounds.
You feel your heartbeat slowing down.
You feel all the thoughts you have from today.
It's starting to melt away.
Perhaps you feel a sense of light.
Perhaps the heaviness in your shoulders feels like it's being lifted.
Can you hear the stream behind?
The flowing water.
Calming and continuing to flow.
And as you listen to these sounds Your eyes feel heavier.
Your body feels heavier.
Feels like nature is embracing you.
To put you in a cocoon,
To send you to rest for the night.
Embrace that and if you feel that from your seated position It's time to get up and perhaps lie down.
That's okay.
Your breath deepens.
Your eyes and your forehead get heavier.
And the lullaby of the African Savannah.
Sending you to sleep.
You feel a sense of light.
And calm and connectedness to nature.
As you get ready to close your eyes and drift off.
I'm so glad that you're joining me here today.
As you go to sleep.
Have a wonderful night.
May this nature surround you and hold you in the steady rhythm of love and joy.
This is Reshma from Safarian Soul.
Goodnight.
Lala Salama.
Have a wonderful night.
