Enjoy this guided relaxation along with the essential oil of vetiver. Let vetiver's earthy aroma connect you to the soil below you and balance your base chakra. This meditation will lead you to feel grounded and supported as you grow your own roots.

This guided meditation is designed to be used along with the aroma of vetiver essential oil.

So I invite you to have some vetiver diffusing around you,

Pop a drop on a cotton ball so that you can sniff along or perhaps you have a blend that you enjoy that incorporates vetiver that you would prefer to enjoy along with the meditation.

To begin just relax into your position whether that's sitting,

Lying down,

Whatever way makes you comfortable.

Feel your body come to relax in this position.

I invite you to starting at the crown of your head slowly scan down your body,

Scan across your scalp down your forehead and cross your face.

Go down the front of the body,

The back of the body and as you focus on each part of you let relaxation come into this piece of your body.

Let your face relax melting all those facial muscles which carry tension during our day.

Feel that relaxation spread down the back of your head and the back of your neck across your shoulders.

This peacefulness reaching down both arms past your elbows past your wrists and reaching to the tips of each of your fingers and your thumb.

Let this relaxation spread down your back reaching across like a warm hug embracing your torso.

Feel the relaxation in your chest,

Your abdomen,

Pulling in your hips which is another place where we carry a lot of stress.

Just let your hips relax.

Feel the relaxation spreading down your thighs past your knees.

Its warmth spreads down your shins and your calves into your ankles until it reaches your feet.

Let this relaxation spread from your heel across your foot and up to the tip of each of your toes.

And as you are now relaxed and at peace each and every part of you is ready to invite the aroma of beddha into this moment.

This rich earthy aroma is spreading around you.

And now it's you notice it entering your breath as you breathe in and out in a relaxed and even flow.

A bit of a aroma is entering your body through your nostrils reaching into your throat.

Spreading through the sinuses of your skull filling your entire head with a beautiful aroma.

This warm earthy aroma of beddha.

The aroma is filling your lungs and as it does so it's spreads into your bloodstream so that it may reach each and every part of your body.

Vettava essential oil is distilled from the roots of the plant and these roots are very special.

Most grass roots spread outwards.

Vettava roots reach down into the earth below.

It makes vettava a wonderful plant to grow in areas of soil erosion because these roots spread ever downwards.

And as you invite vettava essential oil into this moment let the vettava oil help you to imagine your own roots.

In your mind's eye picture your own roots growing out from each of your toes from the base of your feet and spreading down into the earth below you.

Picture these white and brown roots spreading and reaching pushing through the earth below moving through the soil and reaching far down into the ground below.

Feel these roots now and feel that connection to earth.

Feel the connection to earth's energies.

You might like to imagine Mother Gaia with you now with you now as you are firmly planted on the earth and these strong roots supporting you and building that connection.

Vettava invites us to balance our base over your chakra the maladhara.

This base is belongs at the bottom of your spine and spreads down your legs down your feet.

This chakra can be felt from that base of your spine all the way down into your toes.

Bring your focus now to this place in your body the base chakra and imagine the beautiful wheel of this chakra smoothly and evenly spinning around and around bringing balance and calm.

I invite you to listen to some affirmations that connect us to our base chakra to the earth below and to the most the most special part of our being.

The base chakra invites you to be here to be present and to have all that you need to survive and to thrive.

As I share these affirmations with you you might like to repeat them in your own mind or say them out loud or just invite their energy into this moment.

I am balanced and grounded.

I am protected secure and safe at the centre of my being.

Secure and safe at the centre of my being.

I will survive and I trust in my journey.

There is abundance in life enough for everyone.

And one more time with the vetiver aroma connecting us to earth we once again share I am balanced and grounded.

As we focus now on this base chakra sitting at the bottom of your spine picture a red light.

A red light it's warmth filling that space of your body.

It throbs and swells with each breath that you take.

Breathe in now inhale slowly and as you do picture this red light growing and as you exhale releasing vetiver's aroma back out into the environment.

Connecting you to earth once again breathing in inhaling and growing that beautiful red light within you.

It's growing now throughout your body filling every crevice with its warmth along with the vetiver oil and again breathing in this red light now is breading outside of your body.

Feel it filling the room and each inch of your body is now filling the room.

And each in breath and out breath this red light is becoming bolder and stronger filling the space around you filling the room that you're in.

As you continue to inhale and exhale and breathe in.

And stronger filling the space around you filling the room that you're in as you continue to inhale and exhale at your own pace.

Feel this red light expanding further it expands past the borders of this room.

And it spreads out from you like a beacon of security safety wisdom protection connection and groundedness.

Bring your focus back to your breath as you bathe in this red light.

You feel that vetiver aroma breathing in and out.

I invite you now to let a bit of energy back into your fingers and your toes.

Let them wriggle and squirm as you invite some movement into your body.

Stretch now in whatever way feels comfortable to you reaching and stretching still bathing in the beautiful red light and the aroma of vetiver.

And as you bring your awareness back to this room back to your physical body back to this moment.

Know that you can take vetiver with you.

To feel balanced and grounded throughout your day.
