Welcome to my guided meditation on inner wisdom.
To begin,
Let's just take a moment to arrive.
Find yourself a comfortable position.
You can be seated or lying down and just allow your body to relax.
And your breath to become easy and effortless.
With each breath in,
Feel yourself coming home.
With each breath out,
Release anything that doesn't need to be carried right now.
We draw our awareness inward.
Feel yourself grounded to the earth below.
You are safe.
You are supported.
Now gently bring your awareness to your heart space,
That center of your chest.
Your emotional compass where compassion,
Courage and connection reside.
Give thanks to your heart for its life-giving beats and of course its heart wisdom.
Breathing into your heart,
Imagine a warm golden thread weaving itself there.
And this thread begins to extend downward,
Spiraling slowly and gently towards your belly.
Feel this golden thread arrive in your gut,
Sometimes considered the second brain.
Home to deep instinct,
Inner knowing and ancient wisdom.
Send gratitude for your gut as it leads you with its intuitive guidance.
Breathe into this space and feel the golden thread anchoring there,
Steady and strong.
Now from your heart,
The golden thread begins to rise,
Gently moving upward into your head,
Your thinking mind,
The seat of your reasoning,
Rationality,
Memory and imagination.
Take a breath here.
Notice any thoughts or chatter and let the mind become restful.
And be thankful for your brain,
This logical part of your sensibility.
The brain that allows you to consider different factors,
Weigh up decisions and use sound judgment.
And now gently give your brain permission to soften.
To listen to the wisdom of the heart and to honor the knowing of the gut,
Instead of always striding off on its own.
Allow these three sacred centers,
Mind,
Heart and gut to be connected.
A golden trinity of wisdom inside you,
Each with its own role,
Each with its own voice.
And together,
What a great team they form.
And now shift your awareness to the solar plexus,
Just above your navel and below the ribcage.
See,
Feel or imagine a small flame here,
Your inner fire.
This flame is your inner wisdom,
Your power,
Your truth.
Take a moment to acknowledge the current strength of this light.
Is it a wild bright flame or a small ember?
What do you wish to change about your guiding fire?
With each breath in,
This flame glows a little brighter.
And with each breath out,
It expands gently outward,
Lighting the path within you,
Illuminating the deep well of wisdom that has always been yours.
Feel the warmth of this flame radiating confidence and clarity.
Allow it to rise gently through your body,
Warming the heart,
Calming the mind,
Grounding the gut.
You are a wise and powerful being.
In this moment,
Feel gratitude for each part of you.
Your mind that thinks and reasons.
Your heart that feels and connects.
Your gut that knows and senses.
And your inner flame,
Ever-present,
Guiding the way.
Let this golden thread remain with you,
A bridge between all aspects of your being.
Let this flame stay with you as a reminder that the answers you seek live inside you.
And now let's gently return back to the breath.
Feel your body where it rests.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Bringing small movement back to your awareness.
And when you're ready,
Bring yourself back to the room where you reside,
With your eyes open,
Feeling yourself aligned,
Wise,
Whole.
