Thank you for joining me for an aroma meditation.
This meditation is based on the aroma of lavender.
So to get the most out of this meditation,
You should have some lavender essential oil or some fresh or dried lavender on hand to enjoy its aroma while you also participate in this relaxation.
Lavender is considered the mother oil.
It's nurturing and supportive.
As you breathe in the smell of lavender,
Let it relax you,
Calm you.
Feel its nurturing supportive nature into your nostrils.
Breathe it in to your lungs.
The aroma and its nurturing feels your chest,
Your abdomen.
Its caring support spreads down each of your legs past your thighs and your knees,
Down your calves and your shins,
Into your feet,
To the very tips of your toes.
Its calming peace moves down each arm,
Past your elbows,
To your wrists,
Into the palm of your hand,
And down each of your five fingers on each hand.
Its warming spread of calmness slides over the top of your head,
Down the back of your neck,
Across your shoulders,
And slowly smooths down your spine.
As you breathe in,
It slowly smooths down your spine,
Bringing with it a peaceful warmth,
Wrapping you up in a motherly hug.
This lovely herbaceous smell is also useful for balancing the throat chakra.
As the aroma breathes in through your nose and down into your lungs,
Feel it move into that throat space.
You might like to imagine a warm blue light at this space,
Glowing from within your throat.
And this lavender oil invites you to know that your voice matters.
You are a lovable being,
And you are loved.
You are an important person in this world,
And you deserve to be heard.
You are heard.
Let lavender allow you to feel safe and supported,
Free to express yourself.
Feel liberated to share in emotional honesty,
Able to speak your innermost thoughts and feelings.
Perhaps lavender will help you find that you are more than happy with your thoughts and feelings.
Perhaps lavender will help you find a special someone to share these thoughts and feelings with.
Or perhaps it allows you to share these thoughts and feelings with yourself,
To be true to yourself.
Perhaps you would like to journal these thoughts and feelings,
Get them down on paper,
To express them fully.
Like a supportive mother who will listen with care,
With open ears,
With kindness,
And without judgment.
Lavender invites you to find the courage within to share your true self.
Take a moment now to just focus on that aroma of lavender.
Lavender,
How it makes you feel,
How it calms you,
Supports you,
Opens that throat chakra to help you find your inner voice and your outer voice.
Know that at any time,
If you want to return to this space of safety,
Nurturing,
Support,
You can always turn to lavender to remind you of this time,
To remind you of this courage you have within,
To remind you you are worthy of love and to be loved and to share your true self openly,
To trust in others,
That there is a safe space for you.
For now,
Bring yourself back to your breath and let your mind and mind be with you into the physical body,
Into that throat space,
Down into your heart,
Opening your mind and feeling ready to open your eyes and enjoy the rest of your day.
