That beautiful sleep aroma meditation.
Inviting in the beautiful aroma of the sleepy time essential oils that you've chosen.
So make sure you're nice and comfortable in this space where you're going to take your sleep.
Perhaps in bed,
Have the lights already dimmed or even turn them off now.
Getting comfortable into this space.
Lying on your back or gently curling up on your pillow.
Pulling up the covers.
And invite your eyes to gently lower and close.
Allow your focus to turn to your breath.
This beautiful aromatic air that you've created is moving into your nostrils,
Down into your lungs with each and every gentle breath that you take.
There's no need to force this breath,
Just let it flow evenly and easily.
Its natural rhythm.
Inhaling and exhaling.
And allow this focus on both your breath and the aroma of the essential oils.
Clear your mind.
Let go of any thoughts and gently bring that mind into focus on your breath and the aroma around you.
Already feel how these essential oils are making you feel drowsy,
Your eyes are heavy,
Your body is slowly relaxing into that soft space where you are.
Perhaps you like to let out a nice big sigh.
Now with this beautiful focus on your aroma and the breath,
Imagine in your mind's eye this essential oil coming into your body as it enters your nostrils and passes down into your lungs.
The aroma fills your lung space,
It gathers in your heart and sends peaceful feeling into that center of your heart space.
From your lungs,
These oils and their magical chemical properties enter your bloodstream.
From here they're going to slowly spread throughout your body.
With each breath they bring with them waves of relaxation.
Bring that focus of your breath into the very tips of each of your toes.
Imagine that you can breathe through those toes and as you next inhale those essential oils are entering each of your toes and bringing with them relaxation.
You might like to wheel the toes,
Rotate the ankles,
Give your feet a little jiggle and then allow them to soften,
Come into stillness and relax.
And each of your toes,
Both of your feet are beginning to feel heavy and relaxed.
This relaxation spreads up to your ankles,
Across your calves and over the shins of your legs.
And the lower parts of your legs now feel heavy and relaxed as if they almost bend at the knees and falling into the mattress or chair supporting you.
As this drowsiness sweeps up your legs past your knees and into your thighs and that whole lower half of your body from the hips down is heavy with relaxation.
You feel these essential oils breathing into your abdomen,
They feel that sacral space between your hips.
You might like to squeeze your buttocks just gently and then let them go and feel those hips become heavy against bed or chair beneath you.
And you invite this sleepy relaxation feeling into your hips and your lower back.
You might like to breathe a little more deeply into your belly,
Feel your tummy rise and fall with your breath.
And as this beautiful sleepy aroma fills your abdomen,
You let that belly breathing go,
That's letting out a sigh and your whole belly relaxes beneath you.
As you breathe these oils in,
They spread across your shoulders and you feel any last remaining tension there,
Release and relax.
If you need to,
You can squeeze your shoulders up to your ears and then let that go.
And all tension from your day there is gone and your shoulders become heavy and relaxed.
And this relaxation spreads down your arms,
Past your elbows into your forearms and your wrists.
And mindfully feel essential oils spread up each and every finger and your thumbs.
There's a little tingling sensation in your fingers,
Maybe you wish to give them a gentle wiggle.
Tighten them up into a ball,
Making a gentle fist and then letting that release,
Feeling that relaxation as that allows the oils to spread to each and every fingertip.
And your arms are heavy and relaxed.
As you breathe in these oils,
Their relaxation powers spread up the back of your neck.
They spread across your jaw and you feel any tension here release,
Your jaw becomes slack.
You might like to scrub your face tight like you've just eaten a lemon and let that go.
And your whole face softens.
You feel that relaxation spread up across your forehead,
Across your scalp and down the back of your neck.
And with this next breath that you take,
That relaxation continues to spread from the crown of your head down your neck,
Across your shoulders,
Down your body,
Your arms,
Past your hips,
Down your thighs,
Down your legs and all the way into your ankles,
Your feet and your toes and your whole body feels relaxed and drowsy.
And you invite these oils as they spread throughout your body to bring with them good quality sleep.
And you know that you're able to get the sleep that you need now that this beautiful aroma surrounds you and you have guided these oils into every space of your body,
Each and every part feeling relaxed and ready for a beautiful sleepy time.
And if sleep doesn't come straight away that's okay.
We don't need to fight our way into sleep,
We let it gently flow.
If our mind becomes busy again,
Bring it back to that beautiful aroma,
Back to the breath,
Back to that relaxation that exists in your body,
Inviting sleep to come.
Take a few more moments to listen to this beautiful music,
Focused on that wonderful aroma and allowing sleep to flow.
