In this meditation we are going to examine our feelings.
We're going to feel into places and spaces where we can learn how to shift our state of thoughts and emotions.
But first let's talk about resilience and what resilience is.
Resilience is the ability to be more resourceful,
Having more resources within you so that you're able to bounce back.
You are able to handle what's going on in your life and handle the stress that you may be feeling within you as well as the stress that's happening all around.
These are trying times and cultivating our resilience is so important.
Enabling us to not only bounce back but to find those resources where we can be most powerful.
Get comfortable.
Make sure that the way that you're sitting or lying down feels as comfortable for your body as possible.
And now I'd like you to tune into your breath.
Your breath is always the best place to go to when you're feeling stress.
Your breath helps you center.
Your breath helps you ground.
Taking a few moments to just notice your breath.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Feeling more and more relaxed with each inhale and each exhale.
And as we become more relaxed we can also become more aware,
More observant to those feelings within us as well as to insights that can help us move through challenging times.
Because we are made of thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations,
And actions.
I'd like you to observe.
Observe your thoughts.
It's like you're shedding light.
Observing what you're thinking and the quality of your thoughts.
And now I invite you to become aware of your feelings.
Noticing what you're feeling.
Noticing the shape,
The shape of your feelings.
And how that feels.
And now we're going into a deeper place within us.
And we're going to notice the sensations within our bodies.
Noticing the shape of those sensations.
And noticing any thoughts that arise.
Notice what it's like to accept what it is that you're feeling.
What it is that you're sensing.
And accept the shape of your emotional body.
For some people that are having something challenging happen right now,
The word accept might feel charged.
But this is a time where we are transcending.
Transcending beyond judgment,
Beyond blame,
Beyond right and wrong.
We are just noticing what it's like to accept our feelings.
Are there areas within you that could you support?
Places that feel vulnerable.
Observing the shape support makes in your body.
And the shape your breath is making with each inhale and each exhale.
As we create more space for our feelings,
We also create more space for resilience.
I wonder what does being resilient mean to you?
As you embody the shape of resilience now.
Feeling more and more resilient with each breath.
