This meditation is to help you awaken the senses and to relax into awareness. This is an opportunity to listen more deeply, and rest into your being. Notice how you're feeling throughout your body - where you're feeling good, and where you might need support. No need to fix anything. This is a practice of noticing and allowing for what is.

This meditation is to help you awaken the senses.

Let's begin by getting comfortable.

Do what you need to do to support your body.

And once you feel comfortable enough,

Close your eyes and settle in.

And begin to awaken to all the sounds around you.

Notice the sounds that are far.

Notice the sounds that are closer.

And then notice the sound of your own breath.

The simple practice of closing the eyes is an opportunity to listen more deeply.

And as you keep that awareness of the sounds around you,

Sound of your breath,

Begin to explore other sensations.

Notice how you're feeling throughout your body.

Notice where you're feeling open,

Strong,

Awake.

And then also take notice of where you might need to let go,

Where you might need a little more support.

We're not trying to fix anything.

There's no shoulds or shouldn'ts.

We're just awakening to what is.

Feel the air move across your skin.

And then feel the sensation of your clothing resting on your body.

Take notice of the sensation in your nostrils as you draw the breath in.

And really pay attention to how it feels as the breath moves out.

Continue to awaken the senses.

Notice the taste in your mouth.

Notice any smells around you.

And even with your eyes closed,

Notice the energy in your eyes.

Little by little,

Becoming more and more aware of what's going on inside of you right now.

And through this practice,

We're developing this skill of listening,

Of noticing,

Observing,

And awakening to the present moment.

This is a skill that we can carry with us as we move back into our day as a way to fully embrace each and every moment awake,

Alert,

Alive.

Now bring awareness to the top of your head.

And take notice of the energy at the top of your head moving down across your forehead,

Down through your cheeks.

Take notice of the energy in your jaw,

Your mouth,

Your eyes,

Your nose.

Feel the energy in the back of your head,

Your temples,

And from your head all the way down through your neck.

Just become more and more aware of what you're experiencing right now.

Continue to awaken to the energy from your neck moving down across your shoulders.

From your right shoulder,

Notice the energy in your right arm all the way down to your right hand,

Fingers.

Then again,

There's no right or wrong,

No judgment.

Simply awakening to what is.

And then bring awareness over to your left shoulder and feel the energy moving down your shoulder,

Down your arm,

Your left elbow,

Wrist,

Hand,

Left fingers.

Allow yourself to expand your awareness through your back body,

Your shoulders,

Your hips,

Through your back body,

Your shoulders into that space between your shoulder blades,

Down through your mid-back,

Your low back,

And all the way into your hips.

Just notice and then become more aware of the energy in the front of your body from your throat down your chest,

Down into your belly,

Down into your pelvis and your hips.

Continue to awaken and notice not only the more intense sensations but also the subtleties awakening to the layers of your experience.

And continue to expand your awareness from your hips down through both legs,

Your thighs,

Knees,

Shins,

And calves,

All the way into both ankles,

Your feet,

And all of your toes.

Continue to awaken,

Honor,

And be with what is.

And then take a few moments to just feel and be with all that you've tapped into.

Really feel and embrace all the sensations inside you,

All of this new awareness.

Know that this practice of awakening can stay with you.

As you prepare to move back into your day,

You can carry with you this intention of opening up to the fullness of life,

To awakening to each and every moment.

This practice is always with you.

As you're ready,

Slowly begin to deepen your breath.

Take your time as you invite movement back to your body.

You can wiggle toes and fingers,

Little by little reawakening and preparing to move back into your day.

As you're ready,

You can slowly open your eyes,

Awaken to the light and the colors all around you,

And just be with that awareness.
