Namaste and welcome to Level 1 of Blissful Breathing.

Throughout this program,

We will be using Samavrtti Pranayama to improve our cardiovascular health,

Respiratory system,

Reduce stress,

Center the mind.

For a full list of all the benefits,

Check the description because it's far too many to list here,

But it's a beautiful practice,

Very good to bring stability,

Peace,

And calm to the mind.

To perform Samavrtti Pranayama,

We want to make all four parts of the breath equal.

The inhalation,

Internal retention,

Exhalation,

And external retention.

Today,

For Level 1,

We will be using a count of 6 seconds.

Inhaling for 6,

Holding for 6,

Exhaling for 6,

And holding with the lungs empty for 6.

The most important thing is that you remain completely relaxed and comfortable throughout this practice.

If it ever feels stressful or challenging,

Take a break,

Take a few normal breaths,

And come back when you feel ready.

When you feel completely comfortable with this practice and ready to move on,

Then you can go on to Level 2,

Where we will increase the ratio.

With that said,

Let's get ready to begin.

Start with 3 ventilation breaths.

Fully in through the nose,

And fully out through the mouth.

Now all of the breathing will be done through the nose.

Let's begin.

Inhale.
