Welcome to today's meditation.

Let's start by finding a comfortable place to sit or lie down.

Allow the body to soften and relax.

Notice any spaces that are hanging on to tension or worries.

Send them some love.

Let them know that they're okay to have some time off for a moment.

Allow the eyes to soften and close if that feels good for you.

Let's start by taking some nice deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth like you're blowing out a candle.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

You might be tired of counting favours,

Of thinking about what others owe you,

Of how thankless life can feel sometimes,

Of giving on the basis that you will receive,

Of doing because you should,

Of doing because it's morally right,

Because it makes you come across as good.

What if you could liberate yourself from the emotional currency exchange?

What if you could remove entirely the expectations that a favour shall be returned?

That being thanked is a given.

Let's take a breath here in through the nose and out through the mouth.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

There is enormous freedom that comes with simply giving,

When it feels right,

When it feels safe,

When it feels right,

When it feels healthy.

The human urge to hold on because we own things begins to seem almost funny when you zoom out,

When you release attachment,

When you acknowledge that we're all just energy wandering around with no real control over anything at all.

So give.

Give your heart when your soul calls to,

Just because you can.

So give.

Give your time when it feels right.

With nothing needed in return.

So give.

Let the freedom of not needing favours exchanged deeply liberate you.

So give and dance in the joy-filled playfulness that comes with releasing attachment to the things you thought you owned and the things you thought you were owed.

Let's take a breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

Release yourself from the conviction that people are always out to trap you.

Give instead like nobody ever can.

It's the only way to return trust back to our world by being truly,

Deeply selfless.

By being truly,

Deeply heart-led.

By expecting nothing and releasing all.

So give because the world needs you.

Let's take a nice,

Long,

Slow,

Deep breath here as we begin to close this meditation.

Slowly let the body wake up,

Wiggling the fingers or the toes,

Having a stretch if that feels good for you.

And at your own pace,

Whenever you feel ready,

Slowly blinking the eyes open and coming back into the room.
