The Inner Power Series - Session 4 Of 4 - The Creator Mode
by Raj Gorsia
In the finale of the 4-part series, I teach what the creative force of life actually is, and how to wield it, as well as what is stopping us from tapping into the full potential. This session is all about creating a new future, which is unmuddied by the past, I teach why future focus from a present state is the key to a full life, which is both peaceful and thrilling! I complete the series by teaching how each of the elements complements each other. Message me if you found value in the series.

So,
This term that gets floated around is the Creator,
Right?
And that might mean something to some of you,
Which is like the all-knowing,
The Creator God,
We might use for some people,
Right?
Something that created everything,
Really,
Something that created everything.
But what I mean by this is tapping into the Creator within you,
The Creator within you,
The Creator that allowed you to create whatever you've done in life so far.
You created that somehow when you decided to do something,
When you took an action.
You were getting creative and to dive a little deeper into what that means,
To be a Creator is to own your life.
So when I talk about it,
I'm talking about taking it to the next level,
Not just being unconsciously creating life,
You know,
Through our habits and through like our current lens of looking at things.
I mean being a Creator in the fullest potential of it.
And this means that you have to go beyond what your mind tells you because the mind is trying to keep us comfortable and limited and safe.
Just like if all I knew was my city and that's it and I lived in this world of my city,
I didn't even know anything else existed,
Let's say.
So my lens on life will be based on how I see people in my city.
So I wouldn't know anything else apart from that.
That's the way of mind and habit,
You know,
Mind and habit,
Memories that we've had.
And this can go,
And this does actually go deeper because it goes to that point of everything that happened when we were born and everything that happened in our younger years,
That created memories and beliefs as well.
That created how we see the world,
Right?
So if you are just in that lens,
You're in a limited way of looking at life.
So it almost means that that can come into your awareness anytime you want to create something.
So what that means in reality is,
Let's say I wanted to start a business.
In the default mode,
This idea of creating a business,
I will go into that memory bank unconsciously a lot of the time and there will be some memories or some way of seeing the world which will make me believe that,
Okay,
I can't do this because of this and this.
I can't do this because of that and that.
Or in the flip side,
I might say I can do this because of this and that that's happened.
But either way,
I'm using this reference point,
Right?
So like I said,
We are creating all the time.
But the truest potential of creation is when you go against your mind.
Or you go outside of the mind.
Maybe that's a better way to say it.
You go outside of that box of known,
The known,
Right?
It's like outside of that knownness,
It doesn't really make sense.
It's illogical.
Your mind doesn't like that.
It really doesn't.
It hates that new idea that you have because it doesn't have anything to reference to,
To make that feel safe,
You know?
It's like when I wanted to go traveling,
For example,
I was so scared.
I hadn't done this before.
And all of my beliefs said,
Who are you to do this?
What will people say?
What about like finances and your job?
What about like if you do this now,
You might come back and not have any opportunities.
You might have missed out on something.
You might be throwing something away.
What if it's scary out there?
What if this?
What if that?
So this creative idea I had of to go traveling,
It was being stomped upon by my mind.
It was like,
Mind was like,
Don't even go there.
And that's just one example.
This can show up in so many areas of our lives.
Like I want to,
Let's say,
For example,
Me to even do what I'm doing here,
To become a coach,
To help other people to go past their limits of their mind.
So many doubts came up for me as well.
It was like,
How can you create this?
Like who are you to do this,
Raj?
What gives you that credibility?
And it was like this idea was stomped upon again.
And I've got a history of this.
This is actually my background is,
And I'm not saying like my professional background,
I mean my background,
My backstory is being completely challenged by my mind throughout my whole life.
It stopped me from doing everything that I ever wanted to do actually.
And it made me live in fear.
Actually my body was in fight or flight most of the time.
I would go and have to speak to people and I'd be like trembling and sweating or thinking about it too much.
I think about things beforehand.
How shall I say this to someone?
How shall I proceed with this decision?
I'd just be thinking constantly about it.
Because I was living in the world of the mind.
Hey,
I've got an idea.
And then I thought life is like,
Yeah,
You think about it,
You know.
You think about it and then you decide what to do and you have a very structured and very like poignant,
Sharp way to do this.
Because I didn't want to screw things up.
That was probably what was going on underneath the surface.
I don't want things to go wrong.
So I was living in fear mode.
And yeah,
A load of things happened which helped me to move past that.
But I won't go too much into that now.
But what I learnt was it has to be illogical for it to be fully,
Fully in the zone of creativity.
Because for example,
How does an artist paint something?
Yeah,
They get a lot of practice.
That's one part of it,
Right?
They get used to it.
They build the habit of it.
So that is like mind world.
But really and truly,
The piece of art that they produce is coming from a different place.
Coming from like real creativity,
Innovation,
Any innovation that occurs in the world,
Like all these ideas that have happened.
They come from somebody having a brand new idea.
And even like Einstein,
Right?
Einstein,
One of the greatest geniuses,
He accredited his intuition the most important thing.
He used to go into bathtubs for hours.
And his wife used to,
You know people used to come to his house and his wife used to say to them,
Oh Einstein is busy at the moment.
He might be a few hours still.
He is in the bath.
Because he used to get into the bathtub to slow down his body which effectively helped him slow down and get into this creative state.
And that's how he,
That's what he believes is genius.
And he said intuition,
No sorry,
He said logic can take you from A to B but intuition can take you anywhere.
It is like a quick snap intelligence that comes to you.
It is just flowing.
You don't need to think about it.
It is just flowing.
So that's what I mean when I am talking today about the inner creator.
It is getting yourself into that slowed down place and trusting yourself enough to know you don't have to think about stuff extensively.
Getting yourself enough to feel those pulses of insight that come to you and believing them.
Believing them.
A lot of the time the mind is like hey well that's a great idea.
I feel so good about this.
You know this is why indecision comes up.
And I also was a very indecisive person.
And I am not saying I am perfect.
Some of this stuff still comes up for me.
I am not a perfect human because I don't know if that exists.
But indecision was a huge thing for me.
It was like I have got this but this and I try and think about it and I would have to know and control what a good outcome would be based on what I knew.
Getting into things that I didn't know or couldn't feel like I controlled felt scary.
Indecision often is like we feel this knowing within us but we don't trust it enough for us to go forth with it.
So we have to think.
We doubt ourselves.
We have to try and convince ourselves.
And you know people will sometimes ask a hundred people for their opinion on something.
You know inside your heart what is the thing you are going to do or you want to do.
But you will ask a hundred people just to feel like you have a confirmation that it's okay to feel this.
That it's an okay idea.
Can anyone relate to this?
And I am not judging anyone by the way.
I am saying this for liberation.
I am saying this for liberation because this is exactly how I used to feel.
To ask everyone for their opinion.
It used to be like what do you think of this?
I am thinking about this but I am not sure.
What do you think?
And then most of the time,
Actually not most of the time,
Some of the times they will go against my idea.
And I will feel offended and I will feel like my idea was stupid.
I might feel resentment towards them and myself because of all this.
Because I have convinced myself that my creative wisdom is incorrect.
That is why it doesn't feel good.
It is like putting,
It is like shaking up a coke bottle and then putting the lid on it and never letting that fizz come out.
That fizz just wants to come out.
You know?
It is like a volcano.
It is wanting to erupt.
Let it out.
So when I say tapping into this inner creator,
I mean it is an expression of who you are really.
It is an expressive process.
There is a bunch of art classes and creativity classes out there which might help you with the process of creativity.
With the process of creating a book or creating some art or creative writing.
Like OK,
When you are writing,
This is what you do and this is what you do.
That is useful,
Yeah.
But I am talking about the raw energy of creativity.
The raw energy which you need before you go into the process of doing anything.
And not you need actually,
You have but it is just becoming aware and using it really.
And the ways to get into this is like a part of you already knows the ways.
A part of you already knows.
That is why I don't tend to prescribe things as being like,
You know,
The absolute only ways to tap into the creativity.
Because a part of you already knows.
But what I have learnt through myself and through working with others,
Helping them,
Is firstly slowing down,
Slowing down into the present.
Slowing down into the present.
That is key.
And I guess that is why that was the first session out of this four part series.
Because if you are not able to slow down your mind and the body which is just running at top speed,
Then it is really hard to see beyond fight or flight.
You know.
Is fight or flight switched on?
It is like an alarm system is on.
And you know,
If you imagine a building,
It is like all of the security guards have been summoned to protect the building right now.
All hands on deck,
We have a breach.
We have a breach right now.
So we have to protect this building.
That is where all your energy goes.
We have a breach to protect this person.
There is a danger.
And you might not even think that you are in that mode.
You might not realize that.
But if you are thinking a lot,
Then there is a part of you which is in fear mode.
Because thinking a lot is fear.
Thinking a lot is fear.
What else is it for?
Thinking a lot,
Overthinking is literally fear.
It is trying to control and find a solution to what feels like a breach or a problem.
And that is why the body gets involved and gets into fight or flight.
You have got to be strong.
You have got to get into the adrenaline going.
So slowing down is most important for sure.
For anything.
And I am like,
If you have gotten to know me,
You know that when I talk about slowing down,
I don't think about it as relaxing.
As like,
Yeah,
Let's get a better sleep and all of that.
That happens.
That's definitely going to happen as the bonus.
For sure.
But when I say slowing down,
It is more of like getting into a,
It doesn't make sense to say sometimes,
But it is more of getting into a highly optimized state.
Highly optimized.
Because you are able to see things more clearly.
So that is important for creativity.
Being slowed down.
Being more present.
Calm down.
You can do this in whatever way you want.
And if you want to go into this deeper,
You can go back into session one.
Because I talk a bit more about it there.
But yeah,
I don't need to give people a specific,
This is what I believe is the only way to do this.
No,
You know your way,
Right?
So that's the most important part,
Or one of the important parts.
But then there is this whole thing about creative potential for the future.
Because creation is future focused.
When you are in a place of thinking from a future focused point of view,
You are able to see what's possible.
For example,
I say to a lot of people,
In one year's time,
Or three years time,
I call you up and we are in the future right now.
Everything went exactly how you wanted it to be.
Where would you be?
What would you be saying to me right now?
In that future?
What would you be saying to me?
So I invite you to do that right now.
If you want,
Or just write down the question and explore it later.
What would you be saying to me?
I am on the phone to you.
What's happening in your life?
Everything went amazing and more.
Usually what happens is people get into this excited state and they feel liberated and there is just this buzz.
Because I am not saying how do you do it.
I am just saying go there.
Feel it.
Visualize it.
It doesn't matter if it's going to happen or not.
If it's real or not,
It doesn't matter.
It's a game.
You play the game without like,
You know,
You play a game without too much thinking about it.
You just play.
And then you get into this future focused place.
You have already felt what that feels like now.
So even doing this act is a creative act itself.
Because you are not,
When you are really creative and future focused,
You are not muddied by the past.
It will come in at some point because you know,
We are humans as well.
But if you are really doing it and what I like to do is to get people in that purest place,
You are really doing it,
Anything is possible.
Anything is possible to visualize.
So you are already being creative.
You are already going into the unknown.
Past is the known.
Future is unknown and that's why it's so fun to play in this future focused place.
Past is done.
Okay,
What's next?
What's possible actually?
The art of possibility.
So that's the second part.
Firstly you slow down and then secondly you start visualizing what a great future will look like.
It doesn't matter how,
We are not talking about that right now.
We are just playing the game.
And the other part of this is your energy towards that future and in the now as well.
It's getting yourself fired up.
And this is where the part two kind of comes through really.
Part two of this series is building that energy.
That means like you are looking after yourself and you are creating energy and you are looking after your energy as well.
Because then you can use that towards your creativity.
Your brain is more clear,
You know.
There's a flow going through you now.
Once you start visualizing this stuff,
More of that flow will start coming through you of like possibility and excitement and wow.
And I guess another part of this is the part that I said last time which was part three which is grounding into your heart.
So what do you have right now that is already great about your life?
Grounding into the present,
Grounding into your heart.
What do you have right now?
And that again will light you up.
It will start lighting you up.
So now this future,
You've seen it and you've got some energy that you can start putting towards it.
The next part is taking action because hey,
I have the energy.
I can see it so it's like I'm here now and that's there.
That's great.
This is where a lot of people get stuck including me of the past by the way.
This is where a lot of people get stuck.
It's like I see it,
It seems amazing but then this overwhelm comes in of how do I do this?
This seems like such a big task.
Oh my God!
And the whole idea is gone.
The whole creativity is gone.
The energy has gone down.
You're back to where you are now.
It's disappeared.
It's dead.
The idea is gone.
Well,
The idea stays but it stays like a rotten piece of fruit inside your being.
A rotten piece of fruit.
It just rots and then you build this resentment of oh,
I should have done this.
I should have done this.
I should have done this years ago.
So that creativity has been done.
You felt what it could feel like to have this and then it's like rotting inside you that builds resentment.
This is a classic actually.
This is the thing that I found so challenging.
I had so many ideas,
So many visions.
I wanted to do this and that but then I would be completely destroyed by my mind again.
So I couldn't do any of it.
I couldn't create any of it.
Because creativity requires action.
I am a big believer in visualizing and getting your energy right which this whole thing about the law of attraction talks about.
And here is the controversial part.
I don't think it's enough.
I don't think it's enough to just visualize and wait for some life to show up.
Hey,
I feel it.
Hey,
I am going to attract it.
It's going to magically come to me.
Living in illusion,
That's what it feels like to me.
Illusion and I am saying that stuff is very important.
Getting your energy right and visualizing it,
Very important.
But imagine you do that and then none of the things you want happen.
You are going to start doubting life.
You are going to be like,
Yeah,
What about these,
I am trying so hard.
I have got these things and I have got these rituals.
I am lighting the right incense.
I am visualizing,
I am pulling the right cards out.
I have got crystals,
I have got all of this stuff.
What is going on?
My energy is aligned.
I am ready to receive this future.
Yes,
This is very important.
Like I said,
I am not judging anyone for that stuff.
I am saying great that you are getting yourself into that place because like I said,
Now you can see the future.
Now you can start feeling it but if that's the cap,
Then you are just going to resent.
You are going to build this inner resentment.
So when I say creativity,
It includes action for sure.
It is not just this getting into this state and getting into intuition,
Getting into the flow.
That's a part of it.
But then it is action,
Insights and then action.
The way I think it is best to do this is to take a very slowed down and present focused approach is to use this thing you visualize as a direction.
You have got a compass now.
I am going this way and then break this future down into smaller chunks.
Chunk it down.
Okay three years time,
How about I go back into one year.
What does one year look like?
How about I go into three months?
What does that look like?
Well what do I have to do next week then?
When you get into reality,
Reality hits.
You can't play around with your law of attraction in this world.
There is no where to hide,
I am sorry.
You can't hide behind your law of attraction and faith anymore because now reality hits and you have got to do something.
You have got to go do something about this.
One week later,
What do you have to do?
What is the smallest step?
What do you have to do tomorrow?
The tiniest tiniest step.
Even if that is reading a book about what I want to achieve.
That is great.
Start learning,
Start getting into it.
Even if that means I have to start,
If this is health related,
I have to start with a ten minute workout.
If this is I want to get more calm,
I have to start with meditating for five minutes every day,
I am committed to that.
You want to create things?
Well it is the same for any type of creation.
I am not talking just about the physical manifestations in the outer world like business,
Relationships,
Money or work or whatever,
That stuff as well but I am also talking about these other things that you might want to create.
I want to create myself as a calmer person.
You can create that.
I wasn't a calm person.
I created this.
I wasn't a person who was motivated and fired up.
Actually I was pretty much the opposite of that.
I had to create this version of myself which can take actions,
Which does get fired up.
I didn't know anything about energy and intuition.
Nothing.
I had to do things to start getting familiar with it.
So,
Who are you going to create?
That is an exercise I want you to try.
Write this down and do this after this session.
Who are you going to create?
And remember it is a game.
Don't put yourself under pressure and make this into such a serious thing.
It is a game.
Play with it.
You know like kids,
Right?
You will give them a bunch of,
You will give them a piece of paper and then you will give them an art set or whatever.
And they will just get the paint and splodge it everywhere.
It doesn't look like anything most of the time.
My nephew and nieces are so funny.
They will be like,
Oh look,
I painted a horse.
And I will laugh on the inside.
I will be like,
What?
I just see a blob.
But they are in the world of like creativity.
They see a horse.
They have got the paint and drew,
They have drawn the horse the best way they could.
They were not saying,
Oh no,
I don't know what a horse feels like.
Oh no,
I am not ready to paint this horse.
Oh no,
What if I can't do this?
No,
They are in pure creativity.
And you can say all you want,
Oh they are kids and they have fresh minds.
Yeah,
It is true.
I agree with you.
They definitely have fresh minds.
They don't have as much mental challenges as adults,
Perhaps.
But you can bring yourself back to that.
And ultimately that is what I mean by this tapping into your inner creator.
Going back into that playfulness,
That innocence.
The innocence where you are not like holding onto your knowledge.
Holding onto your I know this or I know that.
You know,
That is the role of the intellect.
Holding onto knowledge.
Holding onto what you know.
Being proud of like I know this,
I don't know that.
Deciding.
Fixed.
So when you go into real creativity,
You are dropping.
You are willing to drop all you know.
You are willing to.
And you are willing to go back to that mind of a child which just grabs the paint.
So my challenge to you is,
How do you create?
Sorry,
Not how do you create.
Who will you create?
How do you create yourself?
Write that down.
Who will you create and then how do you create it?
So what is one tiny step you can take?
That is the how.
Tiny step.
And then keep on taking tiny steps.
Because then you are affirming that your creativity is valid instead of affirming that it is not by listening to the mind,
You know.
And the thing is,
This is where change really occurs.
This is transformation in the finest sense.
Because to me,
Transformation is,
Yeah,
Like I said,
Future focused.
From the present to the future.
But it is focused on the areas of unknown.
It is going beyond your current capability and going stretching,
Expanding.
It's not just analyzing all the things you know and saying,
You know,
Like these personality tests and things like that.
It is based on,
Like how does the personality test get created?
Is it based on an algorithm of data,
Of information?
Is it based on somebody deciding that if you answer these questions,
You are this personality type?
Or if you have these traits,
You are this?
So that has the effect that it could put you in a box.
And you might say,
I am this type of person.
You know,
You see,
You are in the box now.
And you start believing that box.
I am this type of person.
So what I am trying to do and bring to the world is to drop all the boxes.
Is to go outside the box of I am this or I know this.
Is going to the unknown.
Is going to the stretch of more possibility.
And this is where it goes from like psychological to spiritual.
Spiritual is,
For me anyway,
Spiritual is the unknown.
The illogical.
Spiritual things are based on focusing on the mind.
And that is why some people can get stuck in that world.
And then you go and analyze your mind so much and then it is like,
Oh well,
You are still working in that world then.
Which is what I used to do.
So I can 100% say that going into a creative state is what has helped me to grow.
Because if I had stayed in what I thought I was which was anxious,
No confidence,
And yet a bunch of other things,
Let's just say,
Socially anxious.
If I said I was those then I would be stuck there.
The only way to get out of that is to tease and just like wonder even.
Like wonder,
Curiosity.
Oh,
What if I wasn't this way?
Oh I 100% believe I am this way but what if I wasn't?
I am convinced that I have got all these challenges on the inside.
I am convinced.
But what if I wasn't?
Playing in that what if world.
That is the art of possibility.
Creativity.
That is the spiritual.
This is why scientists can't prove certain things.
Because they are basing things off their already knowledge.
They are basing things off all this logic.
There are certain things you can't,
That haven't been proved yet.
Because in the world of science and logic you have to prove everything.
You have to know by logical knowing.
So that is where we have been brought up into as humans.
We have been brought up in a world of,
You know,
You go to school and then you study something and then you become a great human being once you have passed this test,
This examination of knowledge.
Of remembering things.
So that is why we are who we are.
This is just,
It is what it is.
I am not against it.
I am just saying this is the situation.
So it is,
That is why it is difficult for us to go out of that.
But when you do you get into this whole other world.
And that is how the greatest and most successful people have become who they are.
Because they have been willing to go outside of their story or whatever is going on in their mind.
That is what I mean by inner creativity.
It is really just being able to go outside of the known and then to take action on that.
Outside of every single known.
Don't even get tempted by all the knowns.
And then you start taking action into what you want to create.
This new version of yourself.
Reinventing yourself.
You are doing it all the time by the way.
This is not something that you need to be a spiritual guru or like some advanced practitioner to do.
We are doing this unconsciously to some level.
You go into a new job.
Yeah maybe you have experiences from your old job which is why you are doing it.
But there is still unknown right?
Of course.
You have a child maybe.
Well you don't know what that is like if you have never had one.
Your friend might tell you.
You might read a bunch of books about it.
But you are never going to know.
Ever until you have had the experience.
So what I am talking about is more consciously going into that creative mode instead of it just being random events.
Consciously doing this all the time.
Every day.
And then this becomes your being.
Because we have two parts of our brain for a reason right?
But most of us are imbalanced.
And even people who call themselves creative and do creative work.
There is still a bunch of psychological constraints that are there on top of their creativity.
So yeah I think that is all I am going to say for today.
And I hope that is a good end to the series.
Because it is like number one in the series was about slowing down.
Going into that being mode.
I guess what this kind of environment is good for right?
Going into that slowing down the being mode.
Session two was all about the fire inside you.
So you could call session one about the water element if you want.
But again I don't want to label it that much.
Because then you might be like oh cool it is the four elements.
I don't think that was intentional.
The way I envisioned it.
But yeah you could call that the water element.
And then session two is more about that fire inside you.
That life giving force.
The life force you can call it.
People give it different names sometimes.
Number three was about grounding.
Grounding.
Grounding into the earth.
So if I am saying elements there is an earth element.
Here we go.
Grounding into yourself.
Having these strong roots.
And then this session today is about flying.
Taking off.
Creating something.
Creating something new.
This is the most exciting part I think.
This is where the massive transformation occurs.
Along with all of those other parts.
Because they are connected.
If you do all of these then wow anything is possible.
So yeah session four is the air element perhaps we can call it.
So I hope that gives you enough for today.
And yeah I have recorded these in this way.
Because this is how my journey went actually.
So I am just going to end on that.
This is exactly how my journey went.
And this is what I believe is the journey of complete expression of life.
The complete expression of life.
Every part of it.
First to become more conscious.
And to build this fire and aliveness in you.
Third to overcome the ego and the fears.
And then finally to fly and take off and create whatever the hell you want.
Without any limitations.
Like a plane taking off without anything weighing it down.
And I am hoping that everyone that listens to this,
This can be reusable.
I think this is timeless content.
Because if you act on those four areas.
If you make these four areas a part of your life.
Anything can happen.
This is what I have done.
Yeah it has changed my life let's just say as cliche as that sounds.
So that is all I am going to say for now.
And yeah you know you mentioned that I did cover four elements.
The reason why I was not being like really.
I was not like yeah it is based on the four elements.
It is because I realized afterwards.
I was like slow down,
Feel alive,
Defeat the ego and create your future.
And then I started realizing hold on.
I knew water and fire are like the most important things to me.
Those are the most important I think.
Even if you look at the body actually.
Here we go to science.
Because I can be scientific and not logical because that is a part of me as well.
If we go straight there.
We have two energy systems.
Sympathetic parasympathetic.
We have two parts of us.
So water and fire is the fuel for everything.
And then I was like yeah grounding feels like earth.
And then and this was the process I was going through.
I was one by one going through this process for many months of like slowing down.
Many months of building this fire.
And then many months of destroying this inner stuff.
And then I was like well now I am in a place where I am fired up.
I am ready.
And I want to create things.
I want to create a business.
I want to create this.
And it felt like you know birds flying in the sky.
Birds flying in the sky.
And then it hit me.
I was like this feels like air.
And then I started getting into and I am going into a bit of a side story now.
Then I started getting more into like the elements of the earth.
And I started getting into other spiritual practices.
Things like the Kabbalah and stuff like that.
And I saw the signs.
I was like whoa.
They talk about these elements as being really important.
And this was what I discovered on my journey.
Hey this is a whoa.
I was mind blown.
And that is how it has generally been for me.
I have been doing things.
I have been practicing things.
And then I read and I am like oh yeah.
This is what I have been doing.
It makes sense now.
And I think that way around is the best way.
To be unaware of all of the knowledge.
But use it after you have had experiences.
That is what I have done.
I have had experiences and then I have taken books and knowledge to almost build on that and learn more let's say and refine things that I was doing.
Because then the knowledge becomes useful.
Because I am already practicing it.
So I am going to leave it as that guys.
And let me stop the recording.
