In this practice, you will focus on the different qualities of your breath, making the breath smoother, quieter, softer, and balanced. In doing so, you will bring about a greater sense of harmony and balance. This practice is taken from day 10 of my course here on Insight Timer 'The Breath - Heal Your Life From The Inside Out.'

So sitting or lying down making sure you're comfortable and take two or three deep cleansing breaths.

And now as you sit here or lie here I want you to begin to make your breath as smooth as you can.

So ironing out any bumps or jumps in the breath.

So you might even want to visualize waves of an ocean rolling into the beach and rolling out.

Anything that helps you to just visualize this movement of the breath.

It just rolls in and rolls out smoothly.

Now I invite you to make the breath as quiet as you can.

So notice if there's noise as you breathe and what you need to do within your body to allow the breath to be quiet.

Now smoothing out the transitions between your breaths so that the inhale flows seamlessly and effortlessly into the exhale.

And the exhale flows seamlessly and effortlessly into the inhale.

Now making the breaths of even length so the inhale and the exhale are of even length.

So making sure your breath is smooth that the transitions between the inhale and the exhale are smooth and there's no gaps or pauses to your breath.

Making the breath as quiet as you can.

Making the breath even in the inhale and the exhale.

Smooth,

Quiet,

Even breath.

And just continue like this for the next minute.

Beautiful.

And slowly just letting go of these observations of breath and just simply notice.
