Start by coming into a comfortable seated or laying down position.
Just take a few moments here to settle in to ensure you are comfy cozy in a place without any distractions.
Once you have settled,
Invite the physical body to begin to relax.
Letting the shoulders go.
Maybe even releasing the tongue from the roof of the mouth to relax the jaw.
Letting go of the glutes or the thighs if they are holding any tension.
Just simply encouraging the body to let go.
And now to bring your awareness inward.
Letting go of your day,
Your to-do list,
What might be going on in another room.
Just let it all go for now.
Taking this time to return to yourself.
Begin now to bring your awareness to your breath.
Not making any changes to it as of yet.
Just simply observing the inhales and exhales.
Using the awareness of the breath to anger you in this present moment.
You need to focus on your breath,
Inhaling and exhaling naturally.
The Muladhara is a Sanskrit word combining two words.
Mula,
Which means root,
And Nadara,
Which means basis.
Is located at the base of the spine and is the first of the seven primary chakras and is associated with the color red.
An imbalanced root chakra can show up as fear,
Anxiety,
Panic,
Worry,
Overthinking and even emotional instability.
Whereas a balanced root chakra can show up as stability,
Contentment,
Feeling connected and at peace.
Bringing your awareness back to your breath.
Begin now to integrate an intentional three part breath.
Taking a deep inhale starting at the base of the belly.
Inhaling up through the ribs and into the chest.
And exhaling,
Letting the chest fall first.
The ribs contract and lastly the belly falls.
Inhale let the belly rise,
The ribs expand,
The chest lift.
And exhale let the chest fall,
The ribs contract and the belly releases.
Inhale exhale.
Inhale exhale.
Inhale exhale.
Inhale exhale.
Inhale exhale.
Inhale exhale.
Inhale exhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Now bring your attention to your root chakra.
Envisioning a red light at the base of your spine.
Observe.
Noticing how it looks.
Notice the shade of red,
The size,
The shape.
Take a few moments and notice any and all visual aspects of your base chakra.
Bringing your attention now to how it feels.
Are there any physical sensations?
Notice any and all sensations.
Notice now how it is functioning.
Is it moving?
If so,
Is it slow or fast?
In what direction?
Is it a large circle?
Is it a small circle?
In what direction?
Is it a large open light or a small dim light?
Observe what is coming up for you in the chakra.
Bring your attention back to your breath.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Slowly and deeply.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
With every inhale,
Try to visualize breathing in red light into your base chakra.
Watching as the red glow starts to gently expand.
With every in-breath,
You pull in more fresh red light,
Allowing it to fill your base chakra and spread outwards,
Bringing you health,
Security and strength.
Filling your entire body with beautiful,
Fresh red light energy on every in-breath.
Breathing in beautiful,
Empowering red light.
Breathing out worry.
Breathing in grounded earth energy.
Breathing out fear.
Breathing in strength.
Breathing out anxiety.
Breathing in peace.
Breathing out panic.
Breathing in beautiful red light.
Breathing out instability.
Continue to breathe slowly and deeply.
Silently repeating after me.
I am strong.
I am content.
My basic needs are met.
I am strong.
I am content.
My basic needs are met.
I am strong.
I am content.
My basic needs are met.

My basic needs are met.
I am safe.
I am secure.
I am grounded.

I am secure.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am secure.
I am grounded.
Bringing one hand to the heart and one hand to the belly and taking a moment here to thank yourself for your practice.
I wish you a beautiful day.
