Starting today's meditation,
Come into a place that you feel comfortable.
You can be seated in a chair,
Seated on the floor,
Lying down,
Still be in bed starting your day,
Or you could be late in the day just looking for a deeper connection to yourself.
To begin the meditation,
Just simply become aware of your breath.
We hear it often to follow our breaths and to stay connected to our breath.
And we have many other types of techniques in pranayama to work with.
For this meditation,
Simply become aware.
I want you to feel your breath coming in as you breathe in.
Let it pass by your heart,
Let it fill the darkest parts within you.
And then as you release it,
Visualize that breath leaving your body.
Maybe traveling down your body,
Traveling over your hips and legs and feet.
Taking a breath in,
Again,
Filling your chest.
Let it pass by your heart,
Let it soften your belly.
And then as you release,
Let it travel.
Almost feel the pleasure as it travels past your body,
Softening the tissues and floating downward.
Continue to follow this breath as we go through today's meditation.
Just being aware of it,
Feeling your ribs expand.
As you begin to become comfortable,
Start to scan your body,
Continuing with your breath.
Maybe softening your brow as if you're squinting your eyes.
Just releasing that with the exhale.
Releasing the back of your tongue,
From your throat,
From the bottom of your mouth.
Just letting everything become a little bit more comfortable.
Each body part as you scan down,
Softening.
As you reach your tailbone and the root of your body,
I want you to start to visualize a four-pedaled red lotus,
Spinning at the root of your spine.
This four-pedaled red lotus,
Spinning as you breathe in,
And breathing out.
This four-pedaled red lotus,
As it spins,
Represents the world.
Its element is earth.
Your survival instinct resides here.
Just seeing the words maybe on the lotus,
Around the lotus,
Or just floating past your visualization.
Not finishing the story,
But simply observing the story.
Begin to either mouth or even repeat these affirmations.
I feel safe.
I am connected to my body.
I trust myself.
I am deeply rooted.
I make healthy choices.
I am grounded.
Take a breath in.
Watch that four-pedaled red lotus begin to spin.
As you exhale,
Traveling up your body,
I want you to bring your awareness just a little bit up towards your sacral chakra,
Which is the six-pedaled lotus.
Just residing just a few inches above your root,
The six-pedaled lotus is related to water,
The ebb and flow of polarity,
The primal flow of life force energy.
Visualizing the affirmations.
As you breathe in,
The lotus begins to spin.
And exhale.
I value and respect my body.
I take care of my body.
I am passionate.
I allow myself to experience pleasure.
I love my body.
I embrace my sexuality.
Drawing your awareness just a little further up towards your solar plexus.
This is the yellow lotus of Manipura.
Igniting fire is within.
The flames to awaken us reside here.
There is freedom and power.
Breathing in,
Seeing the flames of the solar plexus lotus begin to ignite and spin.
I feel my own power.
I honor myself.
I am strong.
I am brave.
I am proud of myself.
I am the architect of my life.
Begin to draw your awareness up your body to the space around your heart.
The twelve-pedaled lotus,
Its element is air,
Has the softness of the sky.
Compassion and connection reside here.
Repeating the affirmations or simply seeing the affirmations as they pass by your visualization.
I am open to love.
I forgive myself and others.
I am one with nature.
I live in balance and in peace.
I am peaceful.
I am love.
Bringing your awareness up out of your torso into the throat.
The sixteen-pedaled lotus of purification.
This chakra opens vibrations within and self-expression is here.
Your authenticity lives in your throat chakra.
I speak my truth.
I live an authentic life.
I have integrity.
I nourish myself with creativity.
I easily communicate my feelings.
I have a voice and I use it.
I share my experiences and the wisdom.
Drawing your awareness now up through your cheeks,
Your nose,
All softening and drawing your awareness to the movie screen of your mind between your brows.
The Ajna chakra,
Your third eye.
The two-pedaled lotus of insights,
Light,
Duality,
Your imagination resides here.
The inner world view is all clear within your Ajna chakra.
I am connected to the wisdom of the universe.
I am intuitive.
I learn from my experiences.
I am in touch with my inner guidance.
I am open to inspiration.
I feel clarity.
I draw your awareness up to the crown of your head,
The thousand-pedaled lotus of infinite consciousness in Sahastra.
Awakeness,
Awareness,
And divinity all reside here with source energy and the intelligence of creation.
We are all connected through Sahastra.
I trust my intuition.
I am connected to the universe.
I feel at one with others.
I feel at one with nature.
I am open to receive divine wisdom.
I live in the present moment.
Doing a scan from your crown down to your root,
Feeling the connectedness between as if though there were intertwined rope between each chakra all the way up,
As lengthening as you breathe in,
And pulling you closer as you exhale.
Repeating the words or simply seeing the words pass by your experience,
I am supported below.
I am activated from above.
I radiate power.
I receive love.
I am abundant.
I am joyful.
I am healthy.
I am free.
Using these positive affirmations,
Starting your day or ending your day with this momentum in this short meditation,
Do this for a few days and feel the connectedness that you have with yourself,
With others,
And with nature,
Sending you love and light on your journey.
Namaste.
