This is a guided mindful awareness practice intended to celebrate and embrace the moments when life presents us with hard to love experiences. We recieve so much love from the universe and, while infinite unconditional love is our birthright, sometimes life experiences don't seem to fit with this. We may not have as much clarity as we'd like and we can't get away from the hold of uncertainity that the mind grasps onto with thinking. These are the times in life when we get to choose to love, despite the familiarity that can come from holding on to our set expectations and methods. In this practice, we explore the expansiveness that comes from stretching our vantage point and growing into acceptance of all that is.

Hello,

This is Freedom,

Moonbeam Meditation.

Welcome,

I'm happy you're here.

Today's meditation is all about loving the things that are hard to love.

And so we'll have a mantra in our practice today,

And I love it.

It's hard sometimes to get on board with things that challenge our patience,

Especially people or places that we think should understand us.

One of the most interesting things about the human experience around love is that we have an expectation around the people and the places and the things that we love to understand us unconditionally and often without us explaining.

If that concept sparks your curiosity,

Alain de Baton has a pretty cool TED talk about it.

I loved it.

But meditation this morning,

And I love it.

And so we'll find a comfortable seated position where we can put some dignity into our spine and some softness into our abdomen.

And from there,

We'll start to get really gentle with the shoulders and really soft in the face.

And so you may notice there's an expression developing.

Let the eyes close,

Let the face melt.

The face becomes very soft.

The eyelashes touch.

The teeth do not.

Maybe placing the tongue behind the two front teeth in the mouth to initiate a sense of calm in the system of the body.

You start to slow the vibration.

You start to notice the respiration.

And so we're breathing or following our breath patterning.

Very softly,

Starting with the crown of the head,

Initiating noticing.

What's the energy arriving around the crown of the head?

Separate from understanding that there's thinking.

This is more of a feeling.

What's the feeling around the crown of the head?

As you exhale,

Start to defend that awareness down the body.

Softening the region of the whole head.

And noticing the structure,

The bones of the body to hold up the body,

Like all the muscles around the face.

Letting go of the muscles around the jaw.

And traveling towards the neck.

And feeling a softness developing on all sides of the neck.

Noting the feeling of breath traveling through the throat.

And passing into the shoulders.

The sensation of folded wings in the shoulder blades.

And that softness travels down the arms.

And in the palms of both hands.

And in the palms,

You might start to note a sense of temperature.

Noticing if there's coolness or warmth.

If your hands feel like they're holding something.

Sensing the aliveness in the palms of the hands,

But softening.

Releasing tensing from holding in the hands.

Taking the awareness into the chest.

Softening through the chest.

Breath travels deeper into the abdomen.

And so we breathe often only with our chest.

Relaxing into a breath in.

Towards the abdomen.

Releasing into a breath out.

Softening the abdomen.

Eventually the awareness landing in the pelvis.

The heaviest bone in your body.

Center point of gravity.

Just noticing the weight of the pelvis in the body on the earth.

Extending that sense of gravity through the legs,

Past the knees.

Traveling into the ankles.

And then finally,

When you're ready,

Into the soles of the feet.

The soles of the feet.

Traveling the awareness into the soles of both feet.

Sensing the body.

Sensing the breathing.

The body's default is health.

The mind's default is activity.

The spiritual default is love.

Exploring how our mind,

Body,

And spirit interact this morning.

Taking into your mind's eye into your attention or your thinking pattern.

Something that has captured your attention.

About the living that you're doing.

Something that makes you itch with a sense of difficult.

This could be anything,

But take it into your mind's eye and then notice if your body starts to feel different.

If there's a sense of frustration or annoyance or botheredness.

Everything that's happening to you is helping your future unfold perfectly.

Arguing with what's happening is what causes diverging off the path.

Letting things unfold.

Just letting things unfold.

We don't know where we're going.

We only have memories of where we may have been.

Our mind will establish a projection from those memories onto the future.

Oftentimes,

Bleeding into the now.

As you have this essence in your mind,

This annoyance or this seeming problem,

Investigate it in your mind's eye.

You might let yourself think about it for a moment.

As you think about it,

You're noticing what's happening to your body.

Encouraging your breathing to keep happening fully.

Despite stress.

Despite confusion.

Despite a readiness to throw that towel in.

You really feel the situation in your body.

Start to repeat internally,

And I love it.

And I love it.

And I love it.

Just noticing if this sense of confidence in the essence of the situation is happening for a reason.

And I love it.

Just repeating it internally.

I don't understand why this is happening.

And I love it.

I wish that my friends would call me,

But they won't,

And I love it.

I thought I knew what I wanted to do with my life,

But I don't,

And I love it.

I'm broke,

And I love it.

Of course,

There are so many things to be grateful for every single moment of our waking life.

This practice is focusing on those lesser moments where the higher self is trying to break through.

Is trying to offer the human an experience.

Your mind wants to think.

Your mind wants to know.

Your body wants to feel.

Your body wants to move.

And the soul,

The spirit,

Knows.

The soul knows the answer.

That all is well,

And it's just happening.

It's just unfolding,

And I love it.

Of course,

We have opinions.

Of course,

We have desires.

But learning how to trust in the naturalness of not knowing.

Learning how to sit with the audacity of not knowing.

Learning how to be with the shock of not knowing.

And deciding to say,

And I love it.

And I love it.

This opens a door to limitlessness.

You can let go of wanting because you have.

Taking the secret garden entrance to gratitude.

The back door.

And so we'll sit with how we feel for a few moments.

Making sure that exhale softens.

Making sure that inhale inspires.

Seeing the situation,

The person,

The place or the thing in the mind's eye that's causing a disturbance.

In the naturalness of the path unfolding in front of you.

Seeing it,

Feeling it,

Noticing everything about it,

And then actively deciding.

And I love it.

I vibrate with it.

I accept this ridiculousness unconditionally.

My growth patterning and the growth patterning of everyone in my community.

Of everyone around me.

Just breathing here naturally.

Letting the mind wander off if it needs to.

Keeping an awareness of the sensations of the body.

You're not avoiding it.

You see it.

And you love it.

This is a practice that you can take into your daily life when something starts happening.

You can repeat internally.

And I love it.

Diffusing the energy of the situation into the vibration of love.

The highest vibration.

The most impenetrable,

Innocent vibration.

Earnestness.

You can decide to stay here working with this.

Or if you're ready to take the practice out into your existence,

You're waking life.

And starting to notice the temperature on the skin.

Starting to notice a taste in the mouth.

Starting to notice the heaviness of the surface that you're sitting on.

Moving the finger.

Moving the toes.

Maybe the wrists and the ankles roll.

The knees and the elbows.

Taking your sweet time.

Taking your sweet time.

Eventually you start to open the eyes.

Welcoming in light.

You open the ears.

Welcoming in sound.

And you open the heart.

Welcoming in life.

Taking in the world around you.

And loving it for all that it is.

Freedom.

I'm so happy you could be here.

I hope you enjoyed today.

Very intuitive, thoughtful guidance & easy to relate the matters of self & life in general. This meditation helped me to understand the questions of why these things are happening to me & instead of resisting, accepting. Exactly what we all need, I believe... Thank u! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ
