Listen to this story to get ready for a good night's sleep.

To help you rest,

I invite you to make a movie in your mind to picture the story as you hear it.

To help you relax,

Take three deep breaths with me.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Now close your eyes,

Get comfortable,

And use your imagination to make a movie in your mind.

Imagine that you can fly.

How do you fly?

Do you have wings or rocket power or some other way to fly?

Imagine yourself flying anywhere you want.

Is it to a new city?

To see a beautiful mountain,

Ocean,

Or forest?

Or to a familiar place to visit a special friend or family member?

Or is it to a mythical place that only exists in your imagination?

What do you look like flying high up in the air amongst the clouds?

What can you see from up here?

Can you see planes or birds flying by?

What do you feel against your skin?

The gentle breeze of the wind or a fluffy cloud passing by?

What can you smell?

What do you hear?

Are there birds chirping,

Planes buzzing,

Or wind howling?

Notice how peaceful and freeing it is to be flying among the clouds.

You feel completely relaxed and completely free.

You see the place you want to go in the distance and decide to land in that place.

Watch the earth get closer and everything get bigger as you descend back down to earth,

Getting closer and closer until you finally land in your special new place.

Imagine yourself finding a comfortable place to rest and look around.

Feel your feet and legs relax.

Your belly relax.

Your arms and hands relax.

Your shoulders relax.

And your face relax.

What do you see,

Feel,

Touch,

Smell,

And taste in this new place?

Explore this place in your imagination as you fade off to sleep.

Have a wonderful night's rest.
