So just bring yourself into a seated position or laying down position that feels like you can be alert and awake,

But at ease.

So whatever that is,

The eyes can also close.

They certainly can stay open.

And just take a moment here in your body with your breath to just check in.

And maybe like I just did,

Maybe you take an audible breath in and a breath out and just notice how you are.

And you don't have to be any way other than how you are.

So whatever that is,

Restless,

Settled,

Comfortable,

Uncomfortable,

Whatever it is,

Just give yourself permission to show up that way.

And then just begin to notice that you're in a body and that body is breathing.

There's nothing to change with your breathing.

It's just the noticing that breath is happening.

And as you become aware that breath is happening,

Maybe you also become aware of the sensations in your own body.

You might notice the temperature of the air against your skin.

You might notice tightness or tension in the body.

Maybe there are places of ease.

You might be aware of your own breathing.

Maybe you're also just slightest bit aware of the beating of your own heart.

Maybe you take a hand close to your heart.

You don't have to,

But maybe.

And with a hand near your heart or palms resting in your lap or down by your side,

You let yourself know that no matter how you have shown up,

No matter what is going on,

You are worthy of taking these moments to be right here.

Just sense what it's like to even hear that,

That you are worthy of being here,

Pausing and breathing.

No matter what else is going on,

No matter the judgments that might come up for ourselves or the fears that we might have,

That we're worthy to be here.

And that in that space of worthiness,

We are absolutely enough.

Whether we've done everything we wanted to do today or nothing at all,

We are whole just as we are.

Maybe you're noticing resistance as I say these words.

That's okay.

Maybe there's comfort.

That's okay too.

But it's simply a moment of practice to recognize that we are worthy and enough just as we are in this moment.

Take one more moment here to pause,

To offer yourself an extension of kindness,

Of compassion for taking these few moments to practice together,

Taking a full breath in and a long breath out.

And if your eyes have been closed,

Let them gently open.
