Hello and welcome to this meditation and guided visualization for self-trust.

Start by getting yourself into a comfortable position.

You may prefer to sit with your legs crossed or you may prefer to lay down,

Whatever feels most comfortable to you and just take a few moments to settle into whatever position you've chosen.

Place your hands palms up either on your knees if you're sitting down or down by your side if you're lying down.

Close your eyes if that feels comfortable to you or find an anchor to focus on and practice a soft gaze.

Now start to bring your attention,

Your awareness to your breathing.

Notice the air as it gently travels into your body through your nose and out through your mouth.

Throughout this meditation use your breath as an anchor.

If you find your attention wandering into thoughts of past and future,

Gently bring it back to the present moment and your breathing.

Without judgment,

Simply notice that your awareness has left the present moment and bring it back.

Stay here for a few moments,

Just gently breathing,

Focusing on the breath and bringing focus back when it gets momentarily lost.

Now we're going to move your awareness around the body to release any tension you may still be holding.

Before we go into our practice for self-trust,

Start by bringing your awareness into your head,

Your forehead,

Your eyes,

Your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Your tongue.

Let go of any tension you're holding there.

Soften the eyes and the cheeks,

Unclench the jaw,

Remove your tongue from the roof of your mouth and let it all melt away.

Now move your focus down into your shoulders,

Drop them down away from your neck,

Release.

Feel the tension you were holding there,

Gently release.

Then move your awareness down both of your arms and into your hands.

Squeeze your hands together and then release them,

Feeling the tension you were holding in your hands melt away as you do.

Now take your attention down your spine and into your pelvic area,

Loosen your hips and let go of any tension you had stored there and then keep moving your focus down both legs and into your feet.

As you move down your legs,

Feel that tension melt away.

As your awareness lands on your feet,

Let go of any last remaining tightness you may be holding there and take a moment to notice how your whole body feels calm and tension free.

Stay with this feeling for a moment.

Now refocus on your breathing,

Gently breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth,

Feeling more and more relaxed with every breath you take and as you breathe,

Listen to these words I want to share with you.

We are all born free.

When we enter this world we are free.

Free of judgment,

Free of fear,

Free of self-consciousness,

Free of self-doubt,

Free of shame,

Free of guilt.

As babies we listened to our intuition implicitly.

We trusted our bodies and our feelings without question because we are all born with the innate ability to know exactly what we need,

What is best for us.

We are all born with a magical intuition that is there to guide us in the right direction.

It knows exactly the path we're supposed to take and it constantly gives gentle nudges that way.

But the older we get,

The more difficult those nudges are to feel because layers start to form over that intuition we once trusted so implicitly.

There's no need to cry about it,

A caregiver says to us,

And we start to question our emotions.

You need to finish everything on that plate,

They say,

And we start to question the body that's telling us we're full.

I'm not your friend,

Says the child on the playground,

And we start to question what's wrong with us.

That's not very realistic,

Says the careers advisor we've just shared our dreams with,

And we start to question our desires.

I don't want to be with you anymore,

Says the partner we love,

And we start to question why we're not good enough.

Layer upon layer upon layer builds up over time,

Over the intuition we once found so easy to hear,

The nudges we once so naturally felt.

The opinions and validation of others becomes more and more important to us as our intuition gets buried deeper and deeper under all the layers of doubt and fear and judgment.

Until the day we realized that none of what we were taught was ever about us,

None of the messages we were given were ever about us.

Until the day we understand that humans act as mirrors,

Projecting their own limiting beliefs and fears onto the people around them.

Until the day we become aware of all the layers that have formed over the true version of ourselves,

And we start to peel them back one by one,

And we start writing a new and more empowering story for ourselves.

A story that tells us,

Repeat these after me in your head,

I trust myself.

I trust my intuition.

I am trustworthy.

I know myself well.

I am comfortable and confident being my true self.

I choose people who love the authentic version of me.

I approach new situations with confidence and a belief in my own abilities.

I'm quick to apologize for mistakes,

But I never apologize for my emotions or for being myself.

Validation from others doesn't matter to me.

I only need validation from myself.

I respect myself.

When others make me feel small,

I choose to stand up for myself.

I choose self-support over self-deprecation.

I choose to say what I believe without worrying about judgment.

I'm allowed to let go of people who don't make me happy.

Each time I make a mistake,

I learn and I grow.

I deserve to feel strong and confident.

I deserve to believe in myself.

Every part of me is worthy,

Even my flaws and imperfections.

Everything I need is already inside me.

What I envision for myself and my life is possible.

I am powerful,

Capable,

And worthy.

I express my true self with ease.

Confidence comes easily to me.

I know that everything I want is on its way to me.

I love the person I am and the version of me I'm becoming.

And from this new,

More empowering viewpoint,

We're going to visualize.

Visualization is a powerful tool to having your self-care kicked.

By visualize,

I mean imagining a scenario or something you really want or want to achieve coming to fruition.

Something you want to manifest into your life coming to pass.

Perhaps it's a personal goal,

Or a career goal,

Or a financial goal,

Or a family goal.

Whatever it is,

Let go of all the limiting beliefs that tell you it can't and won't happen.

Lean into hope,

Optimism,

And trust that everything you desire is yours for the taking.

Set this goal from the new mindset those affirmations put you in.

And just take a moment to allow that goal to come to you.

And when you know what that goal is,

I want you to visualize yourself at the moment you know you've achieved it.

Where are you?

What are you doing?

How do you know you've achieved your goal?

Who's with you?

How do you feel?

Get a clear vision of the exact moment you realize you've manifested your goal and really allow yourself to feel the feelings it brings.

And just bathe in them for a little while.

And now,

I want you to do the same thing again,

But this time with the first step you need to take to start moving towards this goal.

The first rung of the ladder.

What is the first thing you need to do to start making baby steps towards this goal?

Visualize yourself achieving that,

Celebrating your first step.

Where are you?

What are you doing?

How do you know you've achieved it?

Who's with you?

How do you feel?

Bask in that moment.

Allow all those beautiful feelings to flood your body.

And just sit with them for a little while and know that it is done.

In the words of Buddha,

What you think you become,

What you feel you attract,

What you imagine you create.

If you can imagine it,

It's because that desire has been planted in you for a reason.

The more self-trust you cultivate,

The more you're going to believe in your ability to bring that seed that's been planted in you to fruition.

The more you believe in yourself,

The more positive actions you're going to take.

The more positive actions you take,

The closer you'll get to your dreams.

Every time you feel a little lost as to what the next baby step is,

Close your eyes and allow your intuition to show you the answers are all right within you.

You can trust yourself.

You just need to allow yourself the time and the space to hear them.

As we approach the end of this guided meditation and visualization,

Just take a moment to reconnect to your breath.

Take a few deep breaths before giving your fingers and toes a wiggle and coming back to the room that you're in.
